4 Ounce Plastic Injection Molding Machine. 2” OD Barrel. 15” long with a ¾” OD chucking shaft with handle. Has nozzle, tip& fill valve, with protective heat wrap sleeve. Has temperature control up to 400 degrees. Power: 110 volts. I have been using this unit for small production parts. And it works well, I just have no use for it any longer. It now needs a new home. It is ready to use. Just attached unit to a vice and use the handle to power pump. Or do like I did and use a lathe to power the injector pump. Either way, the pump doesn’t require much power to turn. Plug it into 110 volt outlet, wait for it to get to desired temp, turn handle or turn on lathe, and then feed plastic down funnel. Mold material can be mixed under heat and vacuum(or low pressure) The mixed material is then forced into a small mold with light pressure(under 100 psi) This is an older generation machine but still looks pretty much like the current semiautomatic machine shown on the factory website. The dual temperature controllers seem to work. The values started rising after we powered them on with set points higher than ambient. The variable speed mixer drive runs. It looks like it is designed to have sort of an orbital motion. Not sure the gear assembly at the end of the shaft actually works. The mix chamber lid is shown below. It most likely ... moreneeds new seals for the mix shaft pass-through. If not the main rim seal. The included mix blade is shown above. The heating blankets for the mix chamber and the mold feed pipe are shown below. An air cylinder lifts the mix-motor and lid assembly as shown here. This board is in great condition and fully guaranteed. This controller board came off a 1997 Arburg 221M-250-55 injection molding machine that has only 15.806 hours on it.
