Antique/ Vintage 6” Marsh Instrument Company Hydraulic Gauge Steampunk GREAT WALL PIECE This heavy steel gauge is about 6” across with the flange and the dial face housing is about 4¾” across. The scale is marked Hydraulic and the range is 0-2000 from the Marsh Instrument Company of Skokie. Ill. The only other making is Made in the U.S.A. I don’t have the fittings or equipment to test it. And I would suspect it to be non-functional. However it has a wonderful patina and the signs of good, honest use that will make it a wonderful industrial art display piece either on a shelf or on the wall. For some reason the camera flash shifted the color a little. So I’ve included a shot without it. I had to use the flash, though, to show some of the details. The front face of this pressure gauge is brass. The housing is cast iron. It has a glass insert. It is 7" in diameter on the front and 7-3/4" on the back. The brass front is hinged, and had a key lock(I do not have the key) This large, heavy gauge weighs almost 6 pounds. The dial face is marked"The Hydraulic Press Mfg. Co. Hydraulic Resevoir Oil Tank Antique Brass Gauge - STEAMPUNK
Item up for bis is an absolutely stunning antique gauge that appears to be primarily constructed of brass. The face(behind glass) of the gauge reads"RES.HYD" with"oil tank" printed underneath that. There is a brass plate that comes with it which gives a bunch of numbers and I have no idea what they mean. There is a long arm that sticks off of the mechanisms underneath the gauge which moves up and down to give a reading for how much oil/fluid is in the tank it is reading. This item(with all pieces fully extended) measures roughly 1 foot and 3.5 inches tall. The face of the gauge measures just under three inches across and the full front of it measures roughly 4 inches across. This is a very unusual item and I have never quite seen anything like this so get it while you can. This listing is for a complete set up ready to go. the cylinder is a hollow hole that is.77 inches or three quarter. Rated for 12 ton and has a stroke of 1.63 or basically an inch and a half. The P18 hand pump is ideal pump for this cylinder and many other small cylinders such as flat jacs etc. Both units have been thoroughly gone over inside and out. I replaced all the seals and re packed the cylinder put new thread protector and hydraulic coupler with dust cover. The hose is a 3' with enerpac coupler includes dust cover. The gauge is Enerpac 0-10.000(new) psi with a enerpac GA3 adaptor. The P 18 pump is like new I didn't have to really do anything to it but change hydraulic oil and flush out, and painted it and put new decals on it. Hydraulic Pressure Gage ~ Brand is EnerPac GP10& this is in Excellent Condition ~ It is Rated 0 to 10.000 LBS per Square Inch& it Measures 4.75" Across the Face. This Gauge comes with Two Reducers attached to a 3/4" Tee& it is capped off to prevent contaminants from getting inside. So all& all the connectors alone would run you a good 35 bucks.
