History: The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine. Long range medium bomber designed in the mid-1930s at Brooklands in Weybridge. Surrey, by Vickers-Armstrongs' Chief Designer, R. K. This auction is for a vintage Vickers Hand Crank Sewing Machine from England. Vickers made sewing machine from 1914 until 1939. The serial number on this machine is 107501. I could not find a way to get the auctual date is was made. As you can see. The sewing machine is in very good condition. The decals are in very good condition throughout the machine. It has a built in 12" ruler on the base. It has a bunch of attachments including extra bobbins and tools. The machine operates very smoothly. The base is in good condition without any rot or worm damage but it has some dings, scratches and blemishes to it's finish. It has a cover and also a key that locks the cover in place. The cover has some damage area to the wood. It looks like to me, when it was shipped over from Englnad, the shipper did not secure the machine properly and the ... morecase:rolled" around and got damaged. Small 4" X 8" British silk flag with overprint of a Vickers Machine gun. This is a small reunion souvenir from WWI. Colors are consistent with age but are still vibrant.
