J W Fiske Signed Cast Iron Metal Stable Barn Tack Saddle Bracket Horse Saddle
I was advised that these are old barn/ stable brackets for holding a saddle. This is a lot of three- RARE LOT- ALL ORIGINAL- J. W. Fiske N.Y.cast iron. Possibly saddle brackets with their original grain painted wood. The lower area may be for hanging a bridal or other tack/ horse related leather. The fancy metal bracket back is 14 3/4 inches by about 3 1/2 at its widest point and resembles the shape of some primitive hinge shapes. Each cast iron bracket is cast signed J.W. Fiske N.Y. and on the opposite side 327. The wood on the top for the saddle is 20 1/4 inches on 2 of the holders and 20 1/2 inches on one. The top piece of wood is triangle shaped. The round bottom wood is 4 1/4 inches long and about 2 3/4 inches wide, Little round fancy end is intact on each. Appears to be the original coat of black paint over a red base on the metal. ... morePossible they were repainted but I do not think so. The wood is all grain painted and is clearly original. There are some signs of age and use but they are in very nice condition. J. W. Fiske is famous for the manufacture of weathervane and garden cast urns, stable and barn cast iron pieces. Antique 1904 McClelland Army Saddle Horse Tack Military "The Postman" Prop Good
Click Here. Double your traffic you. Get Vendio Gallery- Now FREE! This is my antique 1904 McClelland Army Saddle. I bought this saddle in 1972 from the original owner. A retired cavalry soldier. It has always been stored in my home with my other saddles or a heated tack room. I bought it to make a Native Costume for my Arabian horse but I never did. This saddle is all original and in very good condition. It's very usable and can be ridden in today as it's comfortable for both horse and rider although it's a narrow tree as horses weren't as big or as well fed as they are today. It's a 15" seat with no horn and a high cantle so a soldier could sleep while riding his horse and not fall off. The girth is a Y figuration attaching to the front and back of the saddle and fitting behind the legs to hold the saddle into place ... moreand balanced on their back as they might be ridden for hours at a time. The leather is in good condition and it's been oiled yearly. It is in very good condition for it's age. This saddle was also used in Kevin Costner's movie"The Postman" The movie was filmed in Bend. Oregon and there was a call for horsemen to ride as extras in the army but they had to ride in period clothes and on McClelland saddles. My friend, Jeff Tracy who is an internationally known Arabian horse judge, remembered I had a saddle and he borrowed it for the summer. His friend, Lyle Sinclair who used to be a saddle rep, rode in my saddle in the movie. There is a scene where Kevin Costner is on the ground in front of a group of horsemen giving a speech and one of the horses keeps pawing the ground. That was Lyle's horse. He was bored as they filmed and he started to paw as he stood in line. They had to keep retaping the scene because he would interrrupt it. Finally they gave up and wrapped it. That was this saddle on the pawing horse.

Mini HORSE TACK Leather Bridle BIT Snaffle Driving Jointed Harness Barn Decor
This is either a mini piece of decorative horse tack bridal/bit/harness whatchamacallit OR it is an actual harness for a small animal like a ferret. Rat, or reptile. It was brought over and given to me as a gift in 1993 from France. My friend is a horse owner/lover. Nicely made leather harness, great details and metal connectors. Adjustable straps. The one part with the copper colored decoration is not adjustable and is 4 inches, the next piece is 9 inches probably adjustable to 11 inches. The next loop is probably 6-7 inches, which is why I think it is for a ferret or reptile, and the overall length is 16" I hung it in a Western themed room as a decorative conversation piece. Highly detailed, fixed suspension loops and pierced treads, with the interior braces still intact on the undersides. A very handsome and well crafted pair of antique stirrups. This listing is for a set of matching. Used, red horse bridle and lead. Both these pieces are in good used condition except the bridle is soiled as you can see in my pictures. I have not tried to clean it. Both pieces are solid and not torn. The bridle is marked Ronmar on the buckle. All the metal on the bridle has oxidation, some rust, and marks from use. Check out the pictures. They could probably be polished to bring back some of the shine again.

Leather is in very nice condition. On Mar-25-13 at 16:39:15 PDT. Seller added the following information: Since I don't know the age of this piece. I can only guess at it's history. The bridle was owned by a grand daughter of an Oregon Trail pioneer and homesteader in Malheur County. Oregon. She was born in 1903. Cyrus Locey, who homesteaded in Ironside, Oregon actually made the trek twice within his lifetime and was her grandfather. These would make a very nice addition to a old cowboy style saddle. They could be put inside tapederos to hold their shape and add the authentic piece necessary for it to become complete. VINTAGE KELLY HORSE BIT WESTERN BRIDLE STAINLESS ORNATE TACK
We are happy to offer a vintage horse bit ornate western looking bridle tack. We have had this since the early 1970's and not sure if older than that. This bit is very decorative(see pictures) and has Stain Kelly engraved on the bit. We assume that means it is stainless. not heavy actually lightweight) The bit is in good shape with some minor pitting. There is old leather straps in fair condition that came with the bit so we will include it in case the buyer wants it. All vintage. No international shipping at this time.
