This is a rare Vintage 1969 MSA Inspector's Hat by Skullgard. To depict between the inspector and a worker. The inspector's hat was always white in color. Its size is 11" long, 8" wide and has a depth of 6 1/2" There is an attachment on the front for a light and a leather strap on back for I honestly don't know, never asked. It is in good used condition, scratches show wear, but otherwise in tact. No dents and not bent. On the inside of this hat is a very interesting message on a card with a plastic covering, and on it there is a message for the miner's, a tip to help them in case they are ever trapped. The last patent date I see on the sticker inside is from 1941 so probably WW2 era. Good shape. Just very dirty inside maybe left in barn with bottom up for years, I only tried minor dabbing to clean so I could see the sticker. Seems to have a hand painted design on front maybe lightning representing power or electricity? Weighs 1 pound.
