Tracor Rudmore ARJ-4B Audiometer Up for auction is this used Tracor Rudmore ARJ-4B Audiometer. It is overall in quite good cosmetic condition. It has a few scuffs on the exterior, but no major damage. It includes the power cord and the headset shown in the photos as well as several unused charts. I think it may be missing a foot control switch and possibly another accessory. One of the push buttons on the front for controlling is missing the cover. See photos below for more details on physical condition and what is included. I plugged the audiometer in and it powered on when I pressed the power button. I pressed the test button. The paper started feeding out and the pen was moving across to being louder. The sound got louder as the pen moved across the paper. Then the pen started to move down the paper and the sound got higher pitched as ... morethe pen went through each section. After it finished the left ear it did the right ear. I did notice that the right ear didn't seem to work properly at 6000 Hz and some of the other ones didn't sound the entire time. There also is a extra switch that was wired to the audiometer. I used one of these meters in the mid 80's and it compared favorably to my 2203/1613/4144 I was amazed because we paid a lot less for the Quest kit and it didn't break down as much(meter neck problems threads stripped or jammed) and when we sent it in to Anaheim(after a while no longer in business) we were always told it needed a new 4144 and the charged us to repaint it $400.00,$ 1100.00 for new microphone. These meters are very rugged and reliable. Everything in the pictures is included hand held meter can be used for frequency measuring. I have chart with correction factors for 6Kand 8 K but it has a flat response otherwise. The corrections on 6 and 8KHZ are less than 2db.
