This is a portable set for the Lazarett field hospitals. Suitable to be used in field conditions, at the battlefield. The set goes into a wooden carrying container made of light mahogany, enforced with solid bronze braces ensuring its durability in the rough battlefield conditions. All of the instruments are made of stainless steel except some of them that are made of silver(grade 800) The hammer is made of royal ebony. Due to the exceptionally high quality of the instruments, these sets were used throughout WWI since a lot of the instruments inside remain unchanged and in use even today. The set is in perfect mint, museum grade condition. There is a diagonal crack(visible on photos) on the wooden lid but it doesn’t affect its structural integrity and is considered normal for its age of over 100 years. The same set is featured in Aesculap’s huge catalog from the late 19th century(on the photo) In the container there are 3 trays. Full of instruments- for a great variety of surgical operations. There are instruments for most surgical cases, amputations, skull trepanations, bullet extractions etc. There are fitted and numbered slots for each individual instrument. Overall a great deal of instruments, everything preserved in mint original condition, made by the famous AESCULAP Company, all of them protected by the original grease. This is a great set, a centerpiece for any collection. It is Extremely Rare to find original, large surgical set and let alone one made by the world leader in high end medical items at the time- AESCULAP of Germany. The set goes into a wooden carrying container made of light mahogany, enforced with solid bronze braces ensuring its durability in the rough battlefield conditions. All of the instruments are made of stainless steel except some of them that are made of silver(grade 800) The hammer is made of royal ebony. We are pleased to offer this rare and original 19c. antique medical surgical set of three scalpels and one needle. All three scalpels are with different length of handles and blades. The handle of needle looks made of mahogony and the other three handles are made of ebony. The one of scalpels is hallmarked on blade with the logo of famous German company AESCULAP A.G. All handles are similar(only the length is different) so I think that all they are manufactured by Aesculap. The size can be seen on pictures showing. The condition is good overall and without any repairs. Some scratches and rust(not heavy) available on blades. Very rare items and a great addition to any medical/surgical collection. Erbium laser, HGM made in Germany by Aesculap
For sale is my heavy duty erbium laser which I have owned for nearly 10 years. Before that it was owned by another MD so it has always had proper care. It comes with a foot pedal and two sets of tips for the handpiece which allow a 1.5. 3.0 and 5.0 spot size. There is no scanner in this unit though I have in fact done full faces with this laser. It is ideal for removal of small skin lesions such as warts, pigmented spots, tags, etc It also can smooth out scars very nicely. I have all the original manuals. It does require 220 volt power. I would be glad to answer any questions. This is a workhorse, not a cheap table model.
