Unusual and early wood display case for Humphrey’s Veterinary Specifics from the Humphrey’s Medicine Company. Corner of William and John Streets, New York. Closed case measures 9.5” x 6” x 6” and is complete with all original hardware, handle, nameplate, dividers, and lock with key(works) The wood appears to be walnut and is in good condition with a 3” split on the lid and wear to the finish overall. Inside the lid of the case is the original label in good condition with age toning and staining. The label advertises the full range of Humphrey’s Veterinary Specifics, including 10 different medicines(labeled A.A. through J.K. The top of the label states“Humphrey’s Veterinary Specifics/For Every Living Thing on the Farm”Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Hogs, Dogs, and Poultry” The bottom left corner of the label has a copyright date of 1886 but the top ... moreof the label reads“Guaranteed by the Manufacturer under the Food and Drugs Act, June 30, 1906. which makes this a slightly later(circa 1910-1915) version of this scarce veterinary collectible. Amazingly. All of the original contents for the case are still inside. There are all ten different bottles for the various maladies each with its complete label and most with full or partial contents. Labels and bottles are excellent. There are the original boxes for 9 of the 10 bottles(missing the box for“I.I. The Cure Oil bottle, which is almost always missing, is included and is in excellent condition. The glass doser, which is always missing from these cases, is included and in excellent condition(comes with a spare rubber base as well) There are three different versions of the Humphrey’s Veterinary Guide that were found inside the bottle boxes(these all have folds and age toning) Another item that is rarely found in these cases is the hardcover version of Humphreys’ Veterinary Manual. Vintage Set BD Champion No. 507-40 Veterinary Syringes With Box And Extra Parts
Here is a set of vintage Veterinary syringes. From B-D Champion Becton, Dickinson& Co. The large syringe is marked No. 507-40. As also listed on the original box's end cover. This is made of stainless steel, and measures 8" long, and 1-1/16" in diameter. The plunger measures from 5 to 40cc. The smaller syringe has no model number. But has a Patent date of 3-2-15 on the plunger handle. This is made of stainless steel too, and measures 5" long, and 3/4" in diameter. The plunger measures 1-10cc. Both syringes have the glass insert tubes missing. The rubber on the plungers is intact but rough, and the exteriors show light scuffs and scratches. All knobs and handles are free and not froze. Also included are two other medical pieces. But unsure if they pertain to the syringes. There is also a label off of a medicine ... morebottle, marked B-DEX, and sulution of 40% Dextrose. Incinerator Crematory Veterinary Shenandoah with Secondary Burner
For sale is a Shenandoah Incinerator. Sized for 200-260 pound load capacity. This is being used as a veterinary crematory and is currently in operation. This would make a good startup unit for a clinic not currently in the crematory business or for a farm that has incineration needs. The unit is being taken out of service for an upgrade and will be available for pickup around September 15. 2013. Unit is currently in operation and can be viewed as such. Unit is most similar to current Shenandoah Model A200 Incinerator that can bee seen on the Shenandoah website. www.shenmfg.com. Specifications are similar. This unit runs on natural gas and has a primary burner and the optional secondary burner for cleaner burns. Burners are on a timer. The only thing not included in the sale is the chimney stack. Everything from the secondary burn chamber ... moreto the floor is included. We have our chimney stacks made locally to accommodate our building needs. The gas lines will be unhooked. We are moving to flexible gas lines and whatever pipes are removed can be included with this sale. This unit was placed into operation Summer 2003. Average burns 3-4 per week. Refractory repairs have been maintained since purchase. That usually involves 2-3 bags of refractory cement every 2-3 years. The last refractory maintenance was performed summer 2012. Depending on shipping distance for this unit I would anticipate needing to do refractory maintenance for any cracks during shipping. As noted in the pictures the refractory is in good condition. They also attempted to paint the secondary burn chamber but the paint did not withstand the heat. This item is not for sale in a 40 mile radius of Medford. Wisconsin 54451. We will assist with loading the unit on a flatbed trailer. The unit has skids for picking up from the bottom and also has lift points on top. Offered for your consideration is a vintage Glover's Imperial Distemper Remedy. H Clay Glover, New York aqua glass bottle with cork. I'm assuming it is veterinary, I don't believe people get distemper. The bottle is bluer than the pictures show. It measures about 5 1/4 inches high by 2 inches across by 1 3/8 inches deep overall. On the bottom is embossed 412. I have found no cracks, chips, nicks or flea bites. It could use a good clean but is in very good condition. Title: Barker's APF and Riboflavin Poultry Tablets. Date of Printing: circa 1920s. Printing Technique: bicolor halftone relief- early lithography printing technique that utilized a grid pattern rather than the"daisy-dot-matrix" of modern offset lithography. In lighter areas. There is only a tiny dot of ink in each diagonal grid square; in darker areas the diagonal grid square is completely filled with ink. Gradations of darkness run in between the two extremes. Bicolor means that it was printed in black and tan inks; a third shade is created where the two colors of ink overlap. Artist: unknown. Details: ORIGINAL 1920s Poultry Supplement advertising poster issued by the manufacturer. Barker, Moore& Mein Company of Philadelphia. Framed in a 1-1/2" wide dark brown gesso-over-wood frame with a"straw" pattern. ... moreBacked in 100% cotton rag matboard(naturally acid-free) Size: With frame. The piece measures approximately 13 1/4" wide by 20 5/8" high. The visible portion of the poster measures approximately 10 3/4" wide by 17 5/8" high.
