About 40% of probes need repair after a machine has seen five years of use. Not knowing the software package means that you could accidentally buy a machine that's not suited for your practice or you could face other problems, like not having DICOM. It is suited(has internal CALCS for) any purpose- Cardiac, Vascular, Prenatal, etc. but it is currently best suited for gynecological and osbtetrics ... morepurposes, since this machine comes with a curved array(for abdominal scans) and an endo-vaginal array, which speaks for itself.
