This pulse oximeter is the same type of device that most doctor's offices and hospitals now use which is placed on your fingertip to measure your pulse rate and the level of oxygen saturation in your blood stream. This is the single fingertip unit. Not one that has the fingertip unit connected to another device for the readings. This particular device is basically brand new however I have listed it as"Used" since it has been removed from the box and tested and there is an issue with the packaging. I purchased this device for my own use. However I found that it will not read on me, personally. I have had the same issue with other pulse oximeters used by nurses and doctors to check me and I also tested this one on two of my neighbors. ... moreIt read perfectly on both of them, just not on me so the issue is clearly something with me and not the device itself! Regarding the"package issue" I mentioned. I have the device itself and all originally included items(brand new, unopened batteries, lanyard, case and instruction manual) I also have the original box. What I do not have is the plastic piece that the device is placed into to slide into the box. You know what I mean, the clamshell type piece of plastic that makes a really small item fit into a box at least five times it's size! Apparently I accidentally threw that away while saving everything else. When I package this item, the device and other materials will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap for protection, then placed into the original box which will then be placed into a shipping box. Your device will be very safely packaged to ensure there will be no damage done to it.
