The components still have their original plastic packaging included. One of the diagnostic heads is also still sealed in it's original bag. It doesn't look like this set was used much at all, it still looks like it's brand new. This kit is the MacroView 3.5v Diagnostic Set. Kit number 97210-C. The battery compartment is pristine with no issues to report. All components were tested and in perfect operating condition. The unit powers on perfectly and light is visible through both the otoscope and ophtahlmoscope heads. The unit operates off of a rechargeable battery(included) The handle doubles as a charger as well. So if you need to charge it, simply unscrew the handle and plug it in any standard ... moreoutlet! WELCH ALLYN 216 OTOSCOPE VINTAGE WITH 71100 CHARGER AND 71500 HANDLE
Up for auction we have an interesting lot. First. A Welch Allyn 216 otoscope head. It appears to be quite old and in very good condition. Second, a Welch Allyn 71100 dual charger which seems to be in good condition based on a visual inspection only. Third, a Welch Allyn rechargeable type handle I believe a 71500. The battery is dead in it and there is a little corrosion on the top terminal(see photo- should be able to be cleaned rather easily) Because the battery is dead, I was unable to test any of these, and thus it is listed as parts/not working. It may only need a battery and a cleaning. It may need more. I have no way of testing it. The head attaches and detaches easily from the handle and locks on securely. These are used. Vintage medical devices and are being sold as vintage collectibles only. They should not be considered usable for modern medical treatment. The only items in the Carry Case when I purchased the Set were the Otoscope and the Opthalomscope. No other supplies or accessories were found in the case. I do not know if these devices are in working condition. Each Device uses Two(2) AA Batteries(not included) I put batteries in both but the light only came on on the Otoscope. I looked inside the battery ... moretubes and there is evidence of old battery leakage on both devices. The Otoscope is marked as"Model 211" The Opthalomscope is marked as"Model 111" Both Devices are dusty and could use a good cleaning. Also there is some paint chipping around the collar of the Opthalomscope. No box or other items included. Only what you see in my photos.
