I’m afraid I’m not enough of an expert on microscopes to be ... moreable to translate. But the other numbers on the objective are 1,25 oil followed by 160/0,17. Other objectives are visible in the picture in the turret of the Olympus Vanox S microscope. But the only thing being offered here is the one 100X objective. I will get some better pictures when I remove it from the scope. The Vanox S is in pretty good shape but some of the controls are worn so I am going to sell that separately. The microscope features a motorized advance for the turret. So there would be minimal contact with the objectives themselves, as when it advances from one objective to the next it also increases the distance between the objective and the stage so that the tip of the objective shouldn’t collide with whatever sample you are looking at. The Vanux has an outboard light source but didn’t come with a power supply for it. And the internal lamp is either burned out or I don’t know how to turn it on, possibly both. So even if I was good at looking through optical devices(and I am not. I have a hard time with binoculars, rifle scopes, etc. I can’t really get a look through the thing. Untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Up for auction is an OLYMPUS ELGEET MICROSCOPE with a great wooden case and key. This is a usable microscope for the hobbyist. Or family projects and fun. It is a vintage Olympus Elgeet Monocular Microscope from the 1950’s or early 60’s. I bought it at an estate sale because it was such a nice scope. I’ve used a microscope in a previous job. And can give some specific info, but I’m not sure if any parts are missing. It has a 10x eyepiece by Olympus and has power objectives of 4x. 10x, 40x power. The adjustable vertical focus moves well as does the course and fine focusing. It has cast iron horseshoe base. Cast stage with metal stage clips. Serial# 256662 on the front. There are no cracks. Or chips that I can see, it just needs some TLC from you. In the case were various items that I have included. There are a few slides. Bugs in jars, dissecting ... moretool and more. Please check photos for details. There is a warranty card that wasn’t mailed and gives a pre-ZIP code address. The case is 6 ½” wide. 9” deep and 13” tall, it is in pretty good condition except for the handle attachment which was lost somewhere along the way.
