This is a Leitz Wetzlar Camera Tripod. I am no expert in this field but I do know that this piece is well made! It stands about 7" tall when the legs are open. The head is a ball and the camera screws into the top. It is adjustable on the side and on the bottom. It's marked on the side as well as the bottom. It's in excellent condition with no damage. I believe this was made for table top use. I'm sure it could be used for spotting scope but it just doesn't get to tall. Please look at all the pictures so you know exactly what you're bidding on. A careful examination of this lens glass reveals no scratches. Wipe marks, fungus, haze or notable internal dust. Aperture blades have faint rub marks. But are free of any oil and click stops work correctly. Focus is smooth with correct resistance. There are some tiny bright marks/nicks in the black chrome finish. Please look at the pictures to see. No other nicks. Scrapes or ID marks. Made in mid 1973 with the introduction of the Leica CL camera- probably one of the first made. The original front cap 14191 is included. Ernst Leitz Prado 500 Slide Projector Excellent Condition All the glass is mint in projector and lens EXCEPT for the exterior of the rear element in the 120mm lens. It has a lot of light scratches on it. It could easily be buffed out by hand with some cerium oxide glass scratch remover. I would call it mint if it wasn't for that one piece of glass. Doesn't seem to effect the slide viewing. Slides I tried looked real sharp. Below is one but I used a white panel wall with seams. So not the best viewing surface. Ernst Leitz GMBH Wetzlar Germany.
