I have had some trouble finding information on this particular item. Especially since there is no model number on it. However, from the Leitz Wetzlar MM6 Instructions Manual this appears to be a Polariser slide unit, it attached between the Xenon lamp source and the Leitz Nosepiece Vertical Illuminator. The glass(appears to be a prism) slides in to use or out as needed. There is a small spot of glue or something similar near the opening that i assume would hold filters or slides of some sort, it does not affect operation and could most likely be removed. I do not know if this is complete or if it requires a filter for use. So please view the photographs. Leitz Focomat V35 autofocus enlarger complete with color printing module and 35mm carrier, baseboard(and integral power supply) not a very conventional enlarger.This enlarger has an outstanding optical and mechanical quality and is particularly agreeable and fast to use. The base board has a small faint stain from cyanotype printing. I think that with a little cleaning it will come right off.

Leitz Sokkisha aluminum tripod for theodolites and transits. 3.5" opening x 8 threads fits older equipment(check my listings for the vintage 1950's Keuffel and Esser transit that was on it) 68" tall at extension. 41" closed down. The paint is flaking, but the orange aluminum is still bright. There's obvious wear on the legs but all open and close smoothly, all the knobs grab. Carry strap is gone, but attachment point is still there to add a new one. Still a workable tripod OR make it into a lamp. A good wire brushing would work wonders on this. Threads are good, protector is on it. Have no idea of model number, can't find one on it. No idea of age, but under one leg there is 5-17-3.maybe date, maybe serial number, I do not know. Here is a good used pair of Leitz WETZLAR Trinovids. Spec 6x24 with strap in Case Logic padded case. This is the internal focus version of the Amplivid, and the early 1st run of the very highest possible quality. For those of you who aren't up to speed, Leitz Trinovids are the original Leica roof prism binoculars, and probably the best roof prism binoculars ever made. They are more compact, more durable and have a far wider field of view than anything on the market today. Particularly, this model has a most capacious 12º field of view or 636 feet at 1000 yds! These things are largely due to the unique and labor intensive Uppendahl triple prism system subsequently abandoned in favor of the cheaper Schmidt-Pechan system found in most current binoculars. You might say the Uppendahl was Leitz's answer to the Zeiss proprietary Abbe-Koenig ... moreprism. Leitz roof prisms entered the market with a bang that included the Amplivid of 1956. Leitz binoculars in the twentieth century were characterized by lightweight construction and the right stuff. For example, the Mardocit Leitz was spec 12x60. And that is certainly the right stuff for the plains hunter or safari viewer as it delivers the max handholdable magnification and nearly all the brightness you need in a reasonable package.
