AS-IS, for Parts or Repair Description: This is a used and NON-WORKING Eppendorf 5415 C by Brinkmann Instruments. It does not power on. Physically this unit is in fair condition with some signs of use and age. We had replaced a blown fuse inside and got it to turn on and spin the rotor. Which is an 18-tube F-45-18-11. At higher than 10,000 RPMs it began to emit a loud whining sound, so we dialed it back down and it continued to work for several minutes. Once it completed the cycle we turned it off, but it will not turn back on. Therefore this unit is SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY! Includes the Centrifuge 5415 C with F-45-18-11 rotor only. This item looks to be in pretty decent shape cosmetically, but might need a light cleaning when it arrives to you. Plugged unit in and the red power light turns on. When you push the red power light(standby? it turns green and is ready to roll. Looking at the digital display, you can see that there are some LED's burnt ... moreout on the display, so can't see what you are setting the TIME or SPEED to, maybe this is why we received it. I did play around with it a bit and turned the knobs to the left for smaller amounts of time and speed. When I did that, I pressed the TIME button and you could hear it and feel it spinning, not real fast and didn't go too long before it shut down. I adjusted the knobs again by turning both to the right somewhat and pressed the TIME button again. This time it was spinning for a much longer time and at a faster rate. I just couldn't tell what the TIME/SPEED was because the digital display has those LED's burnt out. It is possible that if the display was replaced, that this would work just great for you. I took a couple of pictures(10 and 12) to show what display looked like. I think the one in picture 10 was when I pushed the stop button, and it was spinning down. The picture in 12 shows when I pushed the SPEED button to display RCF instead of RPM. Picture 7 shows my picture before I shut the lid and let it run for awhile.
