Antique Stiegel Flip Glass Beaker 18th Century Rare Maclay Mansion
This is a beautiful antique Stiegel type flip glass. It is labeled Stiegel"FLIP" Maclay Mansion. I do not know how to authenticate this. But my research has led to believe that this could definitely be accurate. The glass is definitely hand blown, thin and designed in a way that matches the description of glass from this time period. The Maclay Mansion is in Harrisburgh,Pa which is not far from where Stiegel glass was made in Manheim, Pa. This is a beautiful piece of history. Pottery of the Inca culture in the form of a cup; interestingly processed with beautiful details. The wall of the cup decreases from top to bottom. But this is not visible externally, only to feel inside. The result is a very solid impression, but this is canceled for use by its light weight. Further, the inner end edge is provided with a 4cm wide groove so as to define the discharge amount in the width. The Incas ruled waterways with much effort, here they have even tried a very small, the amount of outflow to master that can only be described with WOW. To underscore the ritual nature of the Qero was fine, partly colored patterns, decorated. Simple cup hardly needed such a production effort. This fine antique French silver gilt and olive wood beaker has a bell shaped form onto a cylindrical colet style foot. The body of the beaker is crafted from impressive carved olive wood with silver to both the interior and border to the lip. The silver surface to both the colet foot and the body are ornamented with impressive gilding. The beaker retains the original shagreen case with a green velvet lined interior.
