A nice commemorative beaker by J& G Meakin commemorating the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in May 1937. The cream coloured beaker is in good original condition with no chips or cracks. The decorative transfer printed picture is a little worn and marked in places but this is hardly noticeable. It measures approximately 4.5 inches(110mm) high. The base has two stamps one for J& G Meakin. England and the other for the Official Design of the British Pottery Manufacturers Federation.

Also called Dolmen-Period 4000-3400 bc. Agriculture and animal husbandry were introduced in Denmark c. 4000 BC. Wheat and barley were grown and oxen. Sheep, goats and pigs domesticated. Large parts of the land were cultivated during the oldest peasant culture, 4000-2800 BC, and the earliest farmers were energetic builders. They constructed large assembly areas surrounded by moats and palisades like the one found near Sarup on Funen. They also built the oldest stone burial monuments, the dolmens and the passage graves, many thousands of which have been preserved in Denmark. Flint mines were opened and a whole new industry emerged which specialised ... morein the production of elegant, polished flint axes. The front shows the picture, as in the photograph, while the back shows a Crown, Coronation c.1911 and the KGV monogram. Has a green Royal Doulton backstamp on the base. I n very good condition. No chips, nicks or hairlines, some rubbing to the gilding and very, very light crazing, commensurate with age. The beaker m easures approximately 6.25cms in diameter and 9.25cms in height. Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver Beaker. Hallmarks of the maker on the bottom: FB(possibly Francis Blackbeard) Dates to c1876-7. London. On one side of the antique English Sterling Beaker is a garland motif and suitable to be monogrammed in the center. The remaining sides of the Beaker are plain. Vintage Christofle France silver plate wine cup beaker
This Christofle wine beaker just came from France. It has a very nice soft patina. It feels smooth as silk. The shape is also very easy on the hand. The bottom part is decorated with a hash type band. The bottom is marked Christofle France, Coll Gallia and the O C mark. It measures 2 ½" in diameter and is just under 3" tall. Condition is very good, it is clean and free from tarnish. There are some use related dimples near the edge of the bottom and also age related faint scratches on the inside rim. There is a minor stress hairline and a couple of minor base hairlines and a few inner glaze marks/flaws. There is a little edge gilding wear. Possibly designed to demonstrate inexpensive ribbed and serrated edge manufacture crested process's available at the time. The auction is for an antique Chinese China Trade Silver Beaker with applied silver decoration. It is 3 1/2" tall. It is covered with applied silver decoration of a frog. Flowers and leaves and a flying phoenix bird. You don't often see China Trade silver with this type of applied decoration. It is in perfect condition. On offer is this superb late Neolitic Bronze Age(Beaker Culture) Barbed& Tanged flint arrowhead. Dating to circa 1450 BC. This arrowhead was discovered whilst fieldwalking on fields near the Briar Hill Enclosure site in Northamptonshire during the 1976-1977 excavations. We have a large number of flint tools from this site. Along with the log book detailing findspot information. These flints are part of an extensive collection amassed between 1976 and 1977 by a retired archaeologist. We will be auctioning off the collection over a number of weeks. FINE & RARE HUGE RUSSIAN SILVER HAND ENGRAVED BEAKER STOPA, 1839 MOSCOW
FINE& RARE. VERY LARGE RUSSIAN SILVER HAND ENGRAVED STOPA BEAKER, 1839 MOSCOW. This Beautiful Stopa is Cylindrical form with a slightly flared rim. Decorated on the front and back with fancy panels of'Minin and Pozarsky' monument and Coat of Arms surrounded in leafy filigree with birds on the sides. Hallmarked on the base with'84' Russian silver standard, assayers mark dated 1839, Moscow mark and'AK' makers mark in Cyrillic; has a gold washed interior and in Very Good condition with no dings, breaks or repairs. 4.5 in. or 11cm high x 3 3/4 in. or 10cm open top diameter, 9 oz or 252gr.
