WW2 German KS 98 Officers Dress Bayonet& Scabbard All original German bayonet and scabbard is etched on the obverse ricasso with the Aesculap Caduceus trademark and the reverse is stamped Aesculap-Werke Jeller& Scheerer Tuttlingen. The blade is etched on the obverse with"Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit b/41IR. Which I believe translates to"Remember My Service Time" The blade is 10"and has the buffer pad. The entire bayonet measures 14.75" The scabbard is original and does have surface rust, but still retains the original black paint.

Will need a good cleaning- dark stuff on blade in my opinion are traces of oil, which was applied for steel protection. Comes off very easy with jewelers grade paper. A famous AESCULAP logo is in the middle of the handle- vivid. Deep, undisturbed. Absolutely no east- west movement. Opens and closes very tight, just like a brand new razor. Please see ALL pictures.
