Up for bid is my Alnor Velometer. I bought it for the company I worked for and when I left. They gave it to me as I was the only one who ever used it. I used it a few more times after that, but since I don't do that job function anymore I would rather someone else get some use out of it before it becomes obsolete. I had it calibrated a few times and it never lost calibration. This is an excellant tool for the technician that works in a critical evironment and needs to measure air flow.

There are 2 nozzles missing and a filter element as best I can tell by looking at the manual. There is no damage and little evidence of wear. Case has done a great job of protecting its contents. ALNOR VELOMETER TYPE 3002 #7810
This particular Alnor Velometer was in use at a fiber warping plant. It is a complete kit and consists of all the items necessary to affect measurements of the velocity and pressure of air. It is a high quality rugged mechanical system that was soundly engineered. Although it is an older system it is still in good operating condition and has all the necessary accessories to do acurate measurements. It has not been tested/calibrated(as we have no means to do so) but it is functional and the meter reacts to pressure/air flow variations. Look at the pictures and you will see that it has the necessary accessories such as exhaust openings. Supply openings, tube fittings, jets, static pressure and filter fittings. At auction is this vintage Alnor Velometer. I had to look it up and the dictionary tells me it's a"device to measure the speed of sound in water. In any case. I found this at an estate in Salt Lake City. Since I personally have no concept of these things, I can't be sure that it's complete, but all that was in the box is shown in photos 1 and 7. The meter appears to be in good condition given its age and use(the last calibration is indicated as 1/26/72) and the meter moves when one blows into the left side port(photo 3) The box, although original, has seen better days, but it is still functional and the clasp fastener is intact and functional. Both the meter and the case have their original straps/handle for carrying. For the vintage/antique meter/instrument enthusiast, this is a great item. I did hook up an adaptor and lightly blew across the tube as told. The meter did move freely and seems to work fine, but that is all the testing I did. I am helping my aunt clean out her basement.
