I can guarantee that you are going to miss a lot of small 1 pound per year R410a leaks with a majority of the leak detectors that I have tested. I created this report out of necessity. I have been in the HVAC business for 20 years and HCFC R410a and Puron have really made finding leaks difficult. The tried and true R22 leak detectors from 10 years ago don't pick up R410a or Puron. The reliable Bacharach H10 is 100x less sensitive to R410a compared to R22. Which leak detector do you want to use? Varian 947 Leak Detector
SN 0106 This Varian Leak Detector is in perfect working order and has been calibrated in last year. It has newer oil vacuum pumps. Instead of dry pumps, since it wasnt being used in a clean room environment. We got tired of rebuilding the dry pumps that come with it, every year.
