vintage Kent-Moore Pinch Off Tool Tubing Cap. 3/8" OD Soft Pipe HVAC Tools
Vintage Pinch-Off Tool This is a patented vintage Pinch-Off tool. Especially good for use on copper and other soft metals. This tool would pinch the wall of a tube so tightly as to shut it completely. It was patented in 1963, for the Kent-Moore tool company out of Michigan. The tool came with a removable screw-in wooden handle that fit into the hole at the mid-point. But this is missing. Also. There was a piece that would fit onto the end of the rod that could act as a fulcrum, but this is not with the tool any more either. However. The tool can still be used without these extra pieces, or it would be easy enough to fashion replacements. If desired. Works great-the rod screws back and forth with ease.
