Antique Spanish Colonial Stirrups and Spur with Gold Inlay 18th/19thc
These exceptional Spanish Colonial Stirrups are in excellent original condition. Carved from Rauli wood. A native wood of Chile that was commonly used during the Spanish Colonial Period(18/19thc) Made in the traditional boot shape with an anthemion design(on tip of stirrup) scroll, and other mosaic carvings also of the period. The outer part of the iron mounts have classic diamond, round, and bar shaped designs inlaid with gold(likely from old Inca gold mines still being worked during the time) Most other examples from this period are inlaid with silver only, which makes these stirrups the exception. The Spur has a classic cross design also with gold inlay. Note: I counted approximately 380 inlays in the stirrups, and 180 in the spur, 560 total. If each inlay weighed a mere grain there may be over an ounce of gold(480 grains per troy ounce) ... morebut that’s just an estimate, not a guarantee of the amount or its purity. Regardless, together these Spanish Colonial artifacts of the“New World” truly make for an impressive display of history.

Antique African hand forged iron horse stirrups from the Dogon in Mali. Both slightly different. With a beautiful rust patina from age. These probably date from the early to mid twentith century, but could be slightly older. Pair of Spanish or French Cowherd 19th century Wood Iron & Leather Stirrups
Museum pieces! This wonderful pair of 19th century European wood. Iron and leather Cowherd/ Farming stirrups. Decorated in aprimitive way with brass studs. These leather stirrups are more difficult to find than the brass ones. Obviously due to the fact that leather is not as strong as brass. This pair has survived well. Don't you used love the personal touch with the studs on the inside of the stirrups. I believe they are initials but I can't work them out. The soles are made of wood, the top is leather with a iron strap around the top of the leather. Great example of early craftmenship.They measure approx. 11 inches in length and 5 inches in width. Vintage 1940's Handmade Floral Carved Saddle Stirrups TAPADEROS TAPS
This is a vintage quality pair of handmade tapaderos that are not maker marked probably from the 1940’s. They are made out of skirting leather and are floral carved on both sides. They have nickel conchos that sit on a leather rosette on the outside of the taps and double leather rosettes on the inside of the taps. The stirrups are galvanized bound wood Visalia style stirrups with skirting leather wear and treads. The wood is cracked on one stirrup but the stirrup is still sound. The wear leather is curled on one stirrup as shown in the pictures. This is a well-made pair of taps and the leather is in really good condition for their age. These would be nice to display on a saddle or could also still be used today. From a farm auction you are bidding on three vintage STIRRUPS& an old CALF WEENER. In well used condition with wear& age spots. Need to be cleaned. 1) Pair of wood Stirrups with tin metal on the sides. The wood has some tight cracks/chips, solid& sturdy. Each one measures approx 7 1/4" tall x 6" wide at the widest part. The top opening is approx 3" wide. 2) Single leather cover Stirrup has surface cracks& a rubbed place where the wood is showing. It measures approx 6 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide with the opening at the top 2 1/2" wide. 3) Spiked metal CALF WEENER used on a nursing calf. It measures approx 6 3/8" long x 3 3/4" wide. Vintage Parade Saddle Lots of Silver Tapadero Stirrups Amazing Conditon
This is a really flashy parade saddle-it has a lot of silver on it-even around the tapadero edges-it has a horn cap-silver name plate-corner plates-pommel caps-the leather is all clean-supple- and it shows very little sign of any use-the seat size is 13-1/2-14 in. depending on how you measure it-25 in. long skirt-4-1/2 in. wide gullet area-2 in. wide horn cap-it has lots of stirrup leather length for long legs-the silver is stainless steel and German silver or Alpaca-the top skirt corner plates measure 3 in. x 5 in. long and the bottom ones measure 4 in. x 6 in. long-if you are looking for an eye catching parade saddle without the price of sterling silver-this one will sell at an affordable price-thanks for looking.

They measure approx. 5" x 5 1/4" x 3"wide with leather foot pad. have a 3" wide at top where fenders attach. These stirrups have seen better days for sure! They are very worn& some damage to the top of ove of them, see all pic's. Also missing the leather wrap for the fender bar on the damaged stirrup. Ornate Tooled Vintage Western Horse Saddle w/Belts Stirrups & Concho Decorated
I aquired this saddle on an estate call. I know nothing about saddles. It looks like a western saddle. It does have wood stirrups and it seems to have all of the belts and they are in good working order. I think the saddle needs to be polished. But you will have to be the judge. It does have Ornate silver conchos but is missing 1.The leather saddle has an ornate all over tooled pattern. The seat is a light brown suede leather with an elaborate stitch pattern as well. There is no name on the saddle that I can find. Please ask questions before bidding. Payment is expected within 3 days of auction end. Vtg Sterling Silver Concho Tooled Leather Bell Stirrups for Western Show Saddle
Description Beautiful vintage hand tooled stirrups from the 1960-70's in chestnut toned leather with eye popping silver and in good used condition. This is a custom set of stirrups- the silver was tested by a jeweler and found to be sterling silver; the quality is evident by the amount of black patina throughout. The silver is Kustom Kraft pattern from Don Wiese's shop when he was operating in California. The stirrups take up to a 3" fender strap. They are adult size. 5" across at the base where your foot will rest, 4" deep and 7 1/2" tall. There are some normal signs of use from coming into contact with a riders boot or the saddle stand and are shown from all sides with great detail. I gave the leather a quick once over so they would be ready to use upon receipt. Depending on how your tastes run for patina the ... moresilver can be shined up quickly and easily. Samurai Edo Period Stirrups, Kaneko Ujimasa
This beautiful pair of Samuraiwarrior Stirrups look to date back to mid. 1700- mid. 1800s. They are signedby the artist. Kaneko Ujimasa and bare his family crest. The flower inlay(silver)is done beautifully, it is hard to fathom how they did the work(given thelimited technology) in that time period. The inside of the stirrup is done in a red lacquer finish. They do have some scratches onthe bottom and the lacquer is cracked in some places(see pictures) They arein great condition. Given their age. I asked an American Samurai(Mr.James Williams) to translate the inscription for me(see pictures) Translation: Kanazawa ju: means he lived in Kanazawa inIshikawa-prefecture in Japan. Kaneko: means his family name. Ujimasa: means his first name. Saku: means he made this. Note:I did some research myself. My intent is not to dispute or dis respect Mr.Williams ... moreor his knowledge. I found a similar character for Saku, thattranslation, in remembrance of the lord” I’ll leave you to make the call onthat one. Otherresearch: The third generation through the seventh generation. TheKatsuki families introduced themselves as Ujimasa. They manufactured Samuraiarmor in Kanazawa during the period between the 17th and 18th centuries. Thethird Katsuki Ichibei Ujimasa died in 1695, the fourth generation died in 1720,the fifth Kaneko(He changed his family name) Ichibei Ujimasa died in 1769, thesixth Kaneko Jinzo Ujimasa died in 1800, the seventh Kaneko Buemon Ujimasa diedin 1833.
