This model is known as one of the"last REAL Schwinns" before the company was bought out. I road this bike around the city; never really took it off roads. The brake pads are in excellent condition with some light wear and slight rub marks. I've done my best to represent the condition of these brakes as good as possible with lots of close up photos and I do my best to make the flaws look as bad as they possibly could so buyers are well aware of what they are buying. Motobecane Stem. Handlebars and Brake Levers I no longer find it comfortable to ride bent over. And so I just replaced the handlebars, brakes and stem on my 80's Motobecane. I am selling this setup in case someone wants to restore one of these old French road bikes. The covering is the rubber-like Motobecane faux-stitch covering by Hutchison unique to the brand. I believe they were used throughout the Motobecane line. Including the Grand Jubilee. According to the Bike Forum it apparently is possible to remove the covering in its entirety. The handlebars have the M and wreath engraved in the top. And they are clean and shine up nicely. The stem is an alloy stem. 22.2mm to fit almost all older forks. The Weinman brake levers are in very good condition. With only minor scratching and use. The alloy has a nice patina but is not corroded. ... moreThe extension levers are not sloppy as older ones sometimes get. No cables are included, but the brake ferrule is still under the hood. SHIMANO STI RX100 SHIFTERS HUB 8SP 105 HUB BARS STEM GRAND COMPE BRAKES ETC
You are bidding on a lot of bike parts some used some new. First are the RX 100 STI 2x8 speed shifters in very very good condition. Hoods show little signs of wear. These were almost identical to the 105 shifters at the time. They are in perfect working condition. Also included in the package are a Shimano 105 front hub with quick release and a RX 100 rear hub new with no quick release. RX 100 front derailleur direct mount. Mounted on a 34.9 Shimano clamp. The brakes are old school very small very light Dia Compe Grand Compe Aero brakes which came off my vintage Nishiki Aero bike. They do have some corrosion on them but work well. The pedals are LOOK PP166 ARC not in great condition but still have tons of miles left on them. The bars are 44cm 31.8 Pazzaz alloy and the stem is a 90mm 31.8 Pazzaz alloy. Sorry- this is a relist. First listing had a fundamental flaw- said Ultegra 6700 instead of 6600. And there was an error with shipping cost. Build yourself a bike relatively inexpensively! Everything works, in reasonable condition, but not new(other than where specified) Ultegra 6700 10 speed levers- work fine. Not unduly scratched. But not showroom new either. Easton EA70 aluminum bar 44cm width. Black tape, bar plugs. FSA 100mm stem. Ultegra 6700 compact crank- 34/50. New chainrings last fall. 172.5mm. Pedal threads fine. All the chainring bolts fine, no squeaks ever out of this thing. Non-drive side has the cap thing. Ultegra long reach caliper brakes. Kool stop mixed compound pads with life left. These brakes have really impressed me. Obviously frame dependent. But they can(barely) fit around 35mm Racing Ralphs WITH a fender. Not so much ... moreif it's muddy, but if you ride rain it's possible. But that's upper end. any normal sized road tires with a fender you're A-ok. Front and rear 10 speed Ultegra 6700 derailleurs. Front is clamp kind. Thomson Masterpiece 31.6mm x 350mm layback post and Specialized saddle. That's a bit of a gem thrown in. Chain in that white plastic bag. 10 speed SRAM quick link. Not new, not done. New threaded BB in baggie. I chucked old BB. Bonus new Adidas glasses in that box. I forgot to take a picture. But 12-28 10 speed Ultegra cassette, zip tied in order with spacers, and includes lock ring. Two Schwalbe CX Pro tires- light. I think they're 30mm. Some wear, but not worn out. Let's make this simple. I don't know exactly the weight. Or what size box I'll be able to fit this in to, and I'm business travelling over next week, so I'm not gonna be able to check zip code estimates for shipping. Trek Fuel 95 Full Suspension Mountain Bike Shimano XT Hydro Disc Brakes Sram X-9
This bike is in very good condition and has been sitting for years. Not long after this bike was purchased the fork seals blew out and the fork needs new seals put into it and it doesnt have any pressure in it at all but it will lock out still. Because of that this bike was not ridden for years and just sat in the garage hence the beautiful condition. This bike has great components Shimano XT crank, front derailler and hydrualic brakes with Sram X-9 shifters and rear derailler. The fork is a Manitou Skareb Comp and like I said needs new seals or replaced(you can buy the seal kit for this fork right here on ebay for less then $30) The rear shock is a Fox Float RL with Propedal and lock out and it is in excellent condition but will need air in it since it has been sitting for so long. The wheels are Bontrager Race tubeless with very nice tires. ... moreThis is a very nice bike with very low miles and cost $2500 back in 2004 and all it needs is the seals replaced in the fork or a new fork and air in the rear shock and this will be one sweet ride for someone.
