Antique Wall Clock - Hourly Strike 8 Day Winding
For auction is a wonderful wall clock we purchased in 2002 from an antique store in Marietta. GA. When we purchased the clock, we were given a brief history of it as follows: Manufactured in Japan after 1915 and probably before 1930. This clock has the original face, pendulum and lower glass. The face has been retouched to restore the original numbers and color. If you look closely you can see the waves and imperfections in the lower glass which indicates its age is probably closer to 1915 than 1930. The clock strikes on the hour and requires winding every eight days. The movement has been completely overhauled" The clock was used up until 3 years ago when I stopped winding it, however, it was left hanging on the wall. I have taken pictures of the"original" face and you can see the touch-ups. The wood carving is gorgeous with ... moreno chips, cracks or restorations. I believe the door latch is brass and is in the shape of a heart. You can barely see some writing on the face at 12 o'clock- I can't make it out. Vintage 8 ft. White Oak Step Railing/Handrail with 3 Wall Brackets This vintage railing is made of solid white oak and dates from around 1900 to the 1920's. The oak railing and brackets have been stripped and finished. The handrail has been finished with a natural wood beeswax and the brackets with a clear satin lacquer finish. The railing is 8' 2 3/4" long with the angled ends from tip to tip.The oak railing top surface is 8' 1/2" long and 4" high( which includes the metal u-channel mounted to the bottom) and 2" wide. The railing comes with three(3) heavy duty cast iron wall brackets that can swivel somewhat to your steps angle. I got it just like this and it has been running great all week long now, it has a clean oiled movement and keeps very accurate time also. The solid refinished golden oak case measures 39"h x 18"w x 5"d and has a 12" dial pan. The 8 day time only brass spring wound movement runs just fine and keeps accurate time, doesn't miss a beat, it is signed E. Ingraham Co. Bristol. Ct. U.S.A. and comes with the correct size brass winding key. Antique Seth Thomas Small OGEE 8 Day Clock w/ Wall Shelf- Lyre Mvt.- Runs Well
Offered here is a nice looking antique small Empire Ogee clock by Seth Thomas of Thomaston. Conn. Dating to the mid 1800s. This small size wall or mantel clock is constructed of solid wood and mahogany wood veneers and features a reverse painted bottom glass panel bird scene and painted tin dial face. A small wall mount shelf is included and looks to have age but I cannot vouch for them being a pair originally. The 8 day all brass lyre frame time and strike spring movement is running well. Keeping time and it comes complete with pendulum and key. There is a coiled gong strike counting each hour. The dial has some paint wear and flaking and could be repainted to restore it. The cabinet has some light scuffs consistent with its age. Nothing major. And the finish looks to be original. The reverse painting with gold trim of a colorful bird is ... moreundamaged except for a section that was scraped off to view the moving pendulum behind it. There are a couple very small pieces of veneer that are missing along the bottom edge and the corners. But overall it is complete which is unusual for a clock of this age(see pics) The Seth Thomas paper label in the inside of the back is mostly complete and intact. There is a repair label with an 1894 date glued to the back panel and there is a repaired split section of the back panel on the lower right. Measurements are 16" high x 10" wide x 3 1/2" deep. The dial is 5 1/2" in diameter. The small wall shelf is 11" x 4" x 9" high. I do not service the clocks I sell. Rare Reed's Gilt Edge Tonic Advertising 8-day Wall Clock
For sale is a 26" high wall clock advertising Reed's Gilt-Edge Tonic. The maple case is in excellent condition with evidence of having been cleaned in a few spots(lighter areas) The 8-day time only movement is signed Laporte Hubbell(L.Hubbell) and is original to the case. The zinc dial plate is original but the original paper dial on it was in poor unreadable condition. A paper copy of another Reed's dial was produced and glued on top of the original dial. I have not cleaned the movement but it runs very well and comes with a fancy brass covered pendulum bob. If you search the internet you will find many more shelf versions of this clock and few if any wall versions have come up for sale in recent years. What we have up for auction is a German 8 Day Gustav Becker wall clock. It runs good and has a very nice case. Bottom panel has beveled pa nes of glass. Dial is a little faded at 10-11. Top of case has worm holes which is common in very old wood not from neglect or abuse but the clock is at least 100 years old. Chimes on the hour and half hour. Measures 28" tall. 11" wide. Antique Ingraham Ionic calendar wall clock in the popular figure 8 design. This clock belonged to a friend of mine and the clock fell off the wall. I put the clock back together but it is missing a piece of wood out of the bezel and is chipped badly where the bottom round door attached to the frame. The rosewood graining is very good throughout the clock but scuffed in a number of spots. Original movement. Paper dial, minute and hour hands, calendar hand, pendulum, and bottom glass(although it now has a chip on the edge) So someone can fix this up or use it for parts so I am listing this with a low starting price. English Enfield Wall 8 Day Project Parts Wall Clock- may be considered art deco period early 1900s. Up for auction is a beautiful English Enfield 8 Day Time and Strike Wall Clock. The clock will run a 10-15 minutes and then stop. The chiming mechanism on this clock functions on chime rods but it slow and out of cync. I would consider this as a project or parts clock. The clock has a neat rear door for access to setting the chime hammers on the rods. The movement is dirty and definitely needs some TLC. The clock does come with a unusual tubular weight pendulum and an antique key. The clock’s dimensions are 19.5” by 9.75” by 5.5” There is some minor wear around winding arbor holes.
