Vintage 10 1/2" Ceramic/Brass Radio Antenna Transmitter Standoff Insulator
Presenting a vintage 10 1/2" brown porcelain and brass radio antennae/electrical stand off insulator. Piece does not have any visible makers marks. But appears to be identical to a LAPP brand insulator except all the LAPP insulators we found were white in color and shorter versions. Piece weighs 2 lb. 2 oz. and is approximately 10 1/2" in length depending on how the top wire clamp is positioned. Piece was found at an estate auction in which the original owner did all the local police radio,light, and siren work, so we are positive this is the intended use of the insulator. Rare - Birnbach 866 & EF Johnson 20 Standoff with Coil Socket 1930s - set of 3
Set of THREE of 1.5" standoffs with the rare coil socket option still intact. Made to allow plug-in large air coils. Each standoff has a metal cylinder that that has a snug fit into the standoff base to allow the coil to be removed. Most of such coil socket hardware has long been lost. As the insulator was just used by itself and the hardware went its own way a long long time ago. Rare to find them intact like this. One piece(slightly smaller) is a Birnbach no. 866. And the slightly larger pair are an EF Johnson model 20 So this is a set of THREE to allow a coil to be anchored each end. With a center tap on the 3rd mount.
