I am really digging into my old keepsakes for this one. About a hundred years ago(1967-68) when I was a happy Hollywood hippie. I went to a lot of great clubs in the L.A. area. One of those clubs was THE KALEIDOSCOPE. It was located in the old Earl Carroll Theatre(which became the Moulin Rouge, which became the Hullabaloo, which became the Kaleidoscope) at Sunset and Argyle. This auction is for an original pin from The Kaleidoscope. I got it at the club in the late 60s and kept it all these years. It is 2" across. The front is a bright pink and in very good vintage condition. The back is tarnished. As you can see in the photo, but the pin works fine if you actually want to wear it. From the front it looks fine. They had a lot of great bands played the Kaleidoscope. This vintage 14" Roll-rite glass rolling pin came from an estate. It has the original cap. And the glass is slightly wavy. There is a marking 2" 5" towards one of the ends just above the handle portion, and there are a couple of palpable scratches on the surface, and one"ding" that measures 1/8" long near one of the handles. To sweeten the deal, I've filled it with lots of vintage buttons of various sizes and materials. Wouldn't this look great in your sewing or craft room?
