Beautiful American Waltham Watch company men's gold filled pocket watch(1 7/8" in diameter) The high grade 6sz 16 jewel nickel damascened movement(Royal grade and bearing serial number 7193176- Circa 1895 has just been serviced(cleaned. Oiled and timed, the balance rotates true and with very strong motion- this watch keeps excellent time) This movement has beautiful damascening as well as five solid gold jewel settings. The multi-color dial has red cut stones(likely glass but not sure) as well as gold and silver filigree across the center and between the hour numerals, the gold filigree hands are matching. Unfortunately, the dial does have some hairline cracks between the 12 hour and 1 hour markers but in general, quite beautiful. The 6sz/12sz"stretched" Philidelphia Watch Case company case is guaranteed against wear through ... morefor 20 years and still does not show wear through. The engravings are mostly"crisp" even the finer details, the lower portions of the case show some wear to the fine engravings. The glass crystal is New Old Stock and does not have any scratches. Scans show the actual comic book you will receive. Corners are sharp. Lies flat, spine and staples are tight. The biggest drawback that downgrades it would be that the cover is larger than the interior so it is starting to curl over the right side. Other than that there are only a couple dings here or there. Overall a very nice copy. I had sent this in to CGC to pre-screen at 9.0 and it failed so I would have to guess that would put it in the 8.5 range. Combining shipping. Yes.
