Hi and welcome to my auction. For your bidding consideration is an antique/ vintage used Victorian era cast iron round louvered register. Grate or vent. The grate measures approximately 9-3/8” across the top and 7-5/8” across the louvered bottom. This has no maker's mark on it except for the number 8 cast on various parts. Based upon this and some calculations, I figure this would fit in a hole between 8" and 8-1/8" in diameter. The ornate top has the remnants of a black painted surface. Condition is very good, there are no cracks, repairs or noticed damage. Picture number 12 shows a close-up of what I consider to be a manufacturing process line- it appears to be a solid, horizontal seam BUT NOTHING MORE. The louvers work fine, moving back-and-forth with just the use of my pinkie finger. This could use some additional surface ... morepreparation before applying a fresh coat of paint. Very nice chromed steel vintage wall register with working damper. This is a larger than average register measuring 16 inches wide x 15 inches tall. The damper opening size is 13 inches wide by 11 inches tall. The depth of the damper is 4 inches at the base and one inch deep at the top. There is some scratching of the chrome on the sides of the register; you can either buff the chrome finish or paint to match your decor.

Adams Company Cast Iron Heater Stove Pipe Wall Floor Register Plate
Up for auction is a good used vintage Adams Co. cast iron heater stove pipe wall floor register plate. Measures 15 3/4" OD and 6 1/8" ID. Reads"Manufactured by the Adams Company-Dubuque Iowa-Design Patent August 31. 1897" around the edge of the face. It looks like the ring on the interior is supposed to move but it has screws through it so it can't. I removed the screws and the ring just comes right out, there's nothing holding it in except the screws. The ring also has some cracks in the design work as you can see it the pics. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ROUND CAST IRON ORNATE FLOOR WALL CEILING REGISTER GRATE GRILLE
You are bidding on 1(one) VINTAGE ANTIQUE DECORITIVE ORNATE ROUND CAST IRON FLOOR. WALL OR CEILING REGISTER GRATE GRILLE. This is just how I acquired it. I do not know how old this is so I’ll let you be the judge. The outside face is 9 3/16” in diameter and the inside lip diameter is approximately 7 15/16” and 3/16” deep. The overall thickness is approximately 3/8” It doesn’t appear to be marked. It does have two 3/16”countersunk mounting holes. There is surface rust throughout but appears to have no cracks or chips. It weighs approximately 2 pounds. Overall it is in excellent solid condition. I’ll leave the cleaning and restoration to the professionals. If you like the rust look then you will love this. This may be the one you have been looking for to start or complete that restoration project. The size listed on a hand written label was 8" x 13" When I measure, the actual size is 7-5/16" x 12-7/8" They were wrapped in heavy vinyl wrap when I got them, presumably from the factory. I took one out of the package for photographing. All 4 in primo condition and 3 come with screws for attaching. I have no idea when or where or by whom they were made. Don't let them get away! Vintage Cast Iron Stove Pipe Floor/Wall Register Grate With 3 Parts Dubuque Ia
For your Consideration. Becoming quite collectible as of late I have a 3 piece Cast Iron floor grate here. The larger 1 of the 3 has a 13 5/8" diameter and says Manufactured by the Adams Co Patented Aug 31st 1897 Dubuque Iowa Design. The second larger one has a 15 1/2" diameter and the smallest one has a 13" diameter as far as I can tell these 3 pieces were designed to go together the cast iron is in nice condition will need to be sanded and repainted to your liking.
