For auction is a Vintage Art Deco Style Metal Heating Vent Grate or Register. This nice old register measures 14 1/2" x 16" and still has the Damper Flap intact. While the wire twist mechanism to adjust is missing. The vent is in very good condition with just some wall paint around the back edge and paint speckling overall- should clean up very nice. You are bidding on an Antique Decorative Cast Iron Arched Heat Wall Grate Register Vent- marked Pat'd June 26 1894. The piece measures 14" at the tallest point. 10" wide and about 2 1/2" thick at most points. It is marked 8 x 12- I assume to be used in an 8 x 12 hole. This is a great looking piece and could be used as intended as everything works and moves at it should. It would make a great wall hanging. It is in overall good condition. This is an old piece and is not perfect. Please examine the pictures closely and determine condition for yourself as I am not an expert. Will take best offers. Up for auction is for an antique arched/dome cast iron wall heat register. From bottom to the top of the arch it is 15 3/4" and it is 12 inches wide. It has no cracks or breaks but because this is cast iron there are places where it did not cast perfectly but they are not noticeable except by close inspection. It has sit in our store for many years. We have just sand blasted it and primed it with white so you can paint it to match whatever you want. This is old stock from Mark's Supply in Shenandoah. PA. You are currently bidding on an antique wall register in great condition for its age. This"art deco"style vent was rescued from a house demolition recently and could be your next restoration project. A nice gloss black paint job would take this item back to origins in the early 1900's. The vent measures 14" in width by 17" in height. At its greatest depth in stretches out to 5 1/2" It appears to have been spray-painted sometime in the past. The wall vent appears to be made of steel material. But I could be wrong as I'm not an expert. Normal wear and tear is present over the entire item. Nothing that would affect it's overall purpose or use. Auction is for an antique cast iron arch top grate. To be used in a wall or in the floor if you like. This one is very unusual in that it has a wonderful white enamel finish on the front much like the old cast iron bath tubs had. It is as seen in the photos and if you look closely you will see a few small chips in the white finish. It is 15" WIDE x 12 3/4" TALL. It is in good working order and has no cracks and no pitting. Vintage antique wall mount heat register
Original and decorative! This is one of two matching antique heat registers I have listed. I removed them from my 1940 house in San Francisco during a kitchen remodel that required losing part of a wall. Width = 13.5 inches approx. Height = 12 inches approx. This register goes over the hole. So you have some leeway fitting a smaller hole. Register operates nicely. Needs paint removed. You could do this with boiling water(a little vinegar or baking soda) and a brush- that's how I did all my door hardware! Email with questions. Pretty Antique Victorian Ornate Cast Iron Wall Register Heat Grate Vent 9.5x13.5
Here is a very pretty antique cast iron register cover. It is 13- 1/2" by 10- 1/2" With a 1- 1/4" profile. This is just the grate without the louvers underneath. We gave this a quick cleaning with a wire brush to remove the loose rust. It is pitted, and has only a couple of traces of its original finish. The cast iron is not cracked or broken. Originally this would have been used for an 8" x 12" opening. The center to center distances between the mounting screw holes are 7- 1/2" and 11- 1/2" This old cast iron heating vent has an attractive pattern that we don't see as often as some other patterns. 2 MATCHING VINTAGE GOTHIC DESIGN METAL WALL REGISTER GRATES
This auction is for a pair of matching vintage metal wall heat register grates. These grates have a fantastic gothic design and are made of a heavy metal but not cast iron. They each measure 12 1/4" wide x 11 1/2" high x 2 3/8" deep at the bottom and 1 1/2" deep at the top. They both have a thumb style lever for adjusting the heat vent. They are in very good condition with no dents or other damage to the grates themselves and they still have the original mounting screws. They originally had a bronze or copper colored finish which you can still see but they have been painted at some point and for the most part the paint has been removed. There is some surface oxidation but nothing that can't be cleaned off. A wonderful pair of gothic wall grates for your restoration project! MAY 11. 1868 Vent is in very good condition. Has most of its original paint and patina! Louvers operate well. I looked over this vent closely and there is no damage. It is marked on the back"Patent Extended Apl 27. 1871" The year is hard to read. But looks like 1871. It could be different, but is def in a tely 18 7 X. It is also marked with what looks like a company or name of a town in New York. Again it is hard to read. Measures 15 3/4" high by 11" wide across the front. The box part measures 13" high by 9" wide. It is about 2 1/4" deep. We ighs about 9 1/2 pound s. It has vents that open and close easily. Very good condition with no damage. Dont hold me to the exact measurement please! I said approximate. Hard to measure because it isn't a flat surface: I bought this over 35 yrs ago& has been in my basement. It was antique then. Not cleaned because I didn't want it to rust.It has minor rust.I think it is in wonderful condition for it's age. You won't be dissapointed. It is beautifully detailed. I hope someone gets it who really appreciates the wonderful craftmanship of years gone by. I have 2 of these& the second is in another auction.
