This measures 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 and requires hole size of 10 3/4 x 13 3/4(is 2 1/2" deep as well) Heavy and ornate- this is a must have for Victorian rehabs and remodels. Vintage. Antique brass wall heat register/ grille. Overall measurements are 13" X 11-1/4" at the wall. Hinged damper operates perfectly. These were removed from a house built in 1928 and were original to the home. I have 3 of this size. And 3 larger ones that measure 13-3/4" X 15-1/4" All appear to be brass with the varying patina of 85 years of age. They are all listed in separate listings. From your wall or floor it will stick out 1-1/4 inches. It is all original. It is black in color with gold accents on the front grill(original paint) There is some additional white paint on this register which I believe would come off without too much trouble. The Louvre portion of the register is dated and stamped 1894. The actual opening you would need in your wall or floor would be 9 X 12 inches. The register works great. This is an old wall register grate heat vent. The name of the Art Deco pattern escapes me. Single lever flap door. Lever works just fine. Outside measurements of 12 x 14 1/4" Top has a depth of 1" while the bottom increases in depth to 2" The painted finish is dried and gradually chipping off so you shouldn't have any problems removing the balance. Mid century adjustable vents. Since they have a chain on them I asume they are for a wall or ceiling. But I realize that you could use them on the floor if they were always open or you took off the chain pull end. They are spring loaded with good spring strength. Flaps open up all the way to a 90 degree position. Nice deco gold color. One of the flaps inside looks dirty but is is paint loss. Measures 13 1/4" by 7 1/2" outside and fits 6" by 12" hole.

Vintage metal heat vent taken out of our home during a remodeling project. Grate is painted white. Original gold/bronze finish on vent frame. Approx 15" x 12 5/8" Base is approx 2-1/4" wide. Tapering to approx 1" at the top. Fits 12" wide x 9" opening. Door works. A few grills are slightly bent but they are fairly easy to bend or hammer back in place from the backside when you are stripping off the paint. I have had good luck with spray primer and paint for restoring these vents.

2 Solid Brass Wall Decor Sculptures Heating Air Duct Vent Cover Grate Register
Up for Auction is a Pair of.well. I'm not quite sure what they are! My best guess is that they were some type of Air-conditioning or Heating Vent covers. Given where I got them, I would like to believe that they were salvaged from an Art Deco building in New York City, which was remodeled or torn down, but I have no actual knowledge of their origin. They are very heavy solid brass(about 8 pounds apiece! and measure 16-3/4 inches in diameter. They are curved, and the center protrudes 2 inches out(see pictures) There are 8 countersunk screw holes around the perimeter that were used for mounting. There are some remnants of the wall paint from where they were mounted on the backs(one of the things that makes me think they were from air ducts) The scalloped edge around the outside edge really looks like a sprocket or cog, and gives them a ... morecool Industrial feel.
