Vintage Tuttle & Bailey Floor Register 9X14 / 11X16 Grate w/Louvers
Wonderful Grate-it was purchased for our new home but we were unable to use it. When we got the grate it was filthy/sticky and a little rusty-what my mother would refer to as gaumy. We cleaned it with a wire brush and put a coat of paint on it to keep it from rusting. There is no damage to the grate just normal wear.This grate is pretty neat in that you can open and close the louvers by spinning the round center section of the grate. I don't know how to show that without video but it works well. The top measures 11x16 with the bottom made to fit an 11X14 opening. Its about 2 1/4" tall. It weighs in@ 12lbs or so. OLD Victorian Era Architecture! This is a heating grate/vent cover recovered from a victorian home. The front cover measures approx. 9 1/2 X 13 1/2. The louvered box on backside measures approx. 7 1/2 X 11 X 2 deep. The louvers open/close but there is no handle to operate them. The entire piece is made up of mixed metal. One type for the cover and the louvered"box" seems to be made of a thinner metal. I AM NOT SURE EXACTLY what the metals are. Typically covers were cast iron or similar heavy metal. This one had been painted white. Great HONEYCOMB Design. Found in basement. It is quite dusty dirty and will need a more thorough cleaning.

This is a very nice Victorian era cast iron register or heat grate. It is complete with the louvers or dampers that function, we used some wd-40 to lubricate the mechanism for the louvers. It measures aprox. 11" x 15 3/4" and would fit a floor or wall opening that is 9" wide x 14" high. There is some surface rust but overall is in good condition, no breaks or damage. They seem to be dusty from age but other than that they are in good used condition. One of the louver movers has some damage to it. It's not broken but some of the wood is worn away. INTERIOR WOODEN SHUTTERS One pair(4 panels) of off-white pre-owned interior wooden shutters. Shutters are in good condition with the exception of one louver that does not have a peg. They won't need painting to be used. They have all of the white hinges on them. They close with a silver latch over white porcelain knobs. The total measurement is 27 13/16 wide x 30 1/8 inches tall. I am including two 2-inch wooden mounting pieces which. If used, makes them 29 13/16 inches wide. There are some nails and chipped wood on the side pieces which was done during removal. I don't know if you will be able to remove the nails or not. If not, they can be replaced. They have a few minor dings just from being used. But all in all are in good condition. All of the louvers move freely. Two Antique floor registers with louvers, 13 15/16" x 11 15/16", metal / steel
For Sale: 2(two) in-floor. Heat registers with operable louvers. These were removed from a house built in 1931 during its renovation. Registers would be approximately 50 to 75 years old. They are NOT cast iron. These registers are made of STEEL. Being made of steel. The visible part of the floor register is thin, and not really a trip hazard. The louvers move easily. And can be opened or closed by the hand or foot. If you do not want to louvers attached to the register. The louvers can be detached by removing four screws. There is very little rust. And could be easily cleaned up and painted or powder coated. 13.75" by 9.75"cast iron wall heat grate- w/ louvers weave pattern
Nice old cast iron wall register with no cracks or breaks. It measures 13 3/4" by 9 3/4" by 1 3/4" thick. It sticks out from the wall 5/8" I took it all apart. Cleaned it and gave it a coat of flat black paint to keep it from rusting.
