A large hibachi of Buddhist begging bowl form on a slightly flaring waisted foot, made for a domestic setting in bronze cast with relief of dragons and with affixed separately cast handles in the form of bats(symbols of fortune) Missing base(usually these Edo to Meiji bronze pieces were cast without base added in after casting, often re-using bronze mirrors as the base plates. Of a type associated with Japanese interiors for the colder months, part of social settings in which ornamental braziers would be placed near guests(usually they are found in sets of 2- for guest and host) and served as a heat source and also a fire source for pipe smoking an integral part of social interaction in the late Tokugawa(Edo) period. Mr. Heater, Portable Buddy with soft case
It works great. I have used it during power outages and it's great for ice fishing. I'm a big guy and my ice shelter is small. But on very cold days I would put that heater down at my feet and it just fit. It really helped keep me out there, otherwise I would be off the ice sooner and miserable. I think that of all the gadgets I have bought over the years this is one of the best. The case is from cabelas and the plastic is cracked where the propane goes, but if you follow the instructions to the letter it will start up every time.

Alemite Oil Mist Lubricator - Oiler - Generator with 115V Oil Heater
You are looking at an Alemite Oil Mist Lubricator/ Oiler/ Generator. It was fully tested. And it is in good, working condition. The capacity is probably one gallon. In the photos, it is filled with two quarts of oil. It has a heater for higher viscosity oils. The heater heats up the oil, and it turns on and off at certain temperatures. As the temperature of the oil drops, the heater automatically turns on(it has a thermo switch) The oil mist has a float switch. Which shows when the oil is low. Photo 19 shows a piece of blue tape on the sightglass- if the oil is above the tape, low level makes contact and the common contact is open. The common contact and low level breaks contact is closed. When the oil is below the tape, low level makes contact and common contact is closed, and low level breaks contact is closed and open. It can be connected ... moreto a relay, that will give a signal when the level of oil is low. The heater can be turned off. The air solenoid value and relief value work well. The oil mist releases air somewhere- when I attached the compressor. The pressure gauge showed 20 psi. I left it for 24 hours and it dropped to 10 psi, like in photo 15. The air connections need to be checked, because the air release is not major. The oil does not leak. There is a hose connected to the oil mist. And a Hansen series 3000 quick connect coupling is connected to the hose. The oil reservoir is cast iron. Heavy duty. This is a nice old piece.
