this is an exquisite vintage copper and brass 5 piece chafing dish pan/ pot warmer. it has beautiful Art Deco detailing and is made from very thick heavy copper and brass. quality piece. the base has 3 nice curved thick solid brass legs and in the middle a burner would go. there is a burner housing made from brass and the control or the flame is operated by a wooden knob on the side that opens and closes a brass door. the base also has a knob that opens and closes holes to release heat from underneath. the base holds a bowl which would be used for water to heat. And on top of that the pan sits which is covered with a nice copper lid and a nice wooden, ball shaped finial. it also has a nice wooden handle with a brass mount riveted to the pan. the piece is in good shape and measures 17 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches it has a wonderful patina from age. ... moreThe pan itself has a worn lining refer to pics. Working Bausch& Lomb(B&L) Frame Heater- Vintage/ Antique- Retro 50's? Possible Steampunk design? OK. So Steampunk wasn't around when this was designed. My guess is that this dates to the 1950s or possibly the 1940s based on the design and the older style Bausch& Lomb logo. This frame heater works using an infrared heating bulb. Placing the frame between the aperture in the top and the green heat guard the heat from the bulb warms the frame until the plastic becomes pliable for adjusting. The unit is approximately 12 inches tall with a diameter of 7 inches. Electrically the heater is in good working condition and could be used for its intended purpose.
