Scott Fly rod 3 Wt, 6'10", 3 Piece G703/3MMT
Harry Murray of Edinburgh. VA has worked with Scott for many years to fashion rods that suit the needs of certain fishing situations. This rod is designated as the MMT(Murray's Mountain Trout) for fishing in small streams with lots of cover. It is superb at this function. Casts wonderfully with only a couple of feet of line beyond the tip. If all I am going to do is make 10 to 15 foot casts, I use a WF4 line, for longer casts a DT3 is perfect. If you fish the kind of streams it was designed for, you will love this rod. It is my second rod of this model and it just doesn't get much use. It is essentially a new rod.

All three say Made in Taiwan and the 8" has a tear across it and the handle is broken. There are some dimples as shown in the photos. The lugs and chrome look good. Late 70's Tama Superstar 6" 10" Concert Toms-Matte Finish with Titan Boom Stand!
Late 70's Tama Superstar Concert Toms Hello and thanks for checking out my auction(s) Up for bids are an interesting pair of late 70's. 6" and 10" Tama Superstar Concert Toms. I picked up this pair on Craigslist from a latin percussion guy who was using them as accent toms. The 6" tom appears to be a 9656. 5.5"x6" four ply birch shell with a re-ring. This has the early matte or satin"Natural Walnut" finish. This shell has a rough area on the bearing edge that has flattened quite a bit from years of playing. There was some splitting and splintering of the plies, so I did my best to sand and fill the area to stabilize the edge. I also carefully stained the repaired edge and brushed on a light coat of water based satin polyurethane. I'd suggest taking both of these shells to your local drum guy ... moreor sending them to George at Precision Drum in New York to have some nice new edges cut(keep that 70's roundover! There is also some splitting of the bottom edge of the outer ply as shown. That could possibly be addressed by your drum guy as well(steamed, clamped and glued? The 10" tom appears to be a 9860 6.5"x10" Six ply birch shell with no re-ring.but with a matte/satin finish. This is what's puzzling about the pair. Both have the early matte/satin"Natural Walnut" finish but have differing ply counts and one has a re-ring and the other doesn't. This could possibly be a transitional period of Tama's shell production as you normally see the high gloss lacquer finish on the six ply 9800 series shells at the beginning of the 80's. Neither of these shells has been refinished so its kind of mysterious. This drum is in nice shape. The bearing edge was a little rough and uneven, but not split or splintered. I basically gave it a light sanding, staining and poly like the six inch shell. These drums are now in nice. Playable condition with the usual scuffs, chips and scrapes you normally see on drums of this age.nothing too terrible though. I

Up for sale is a DW Pacific 6 piece shell pack(black onyx) in excellent condition. These drums were always in cases when not played. Sizes are 8 x 7. 10 x 8, 12 x 9, 14 x 12, 16 x 14, and 22 x 18. The rack tom mounts are the updated STM mounts. Note that the kick drum has 10 lugs, which is very rare as few were produced. The rims are gloss black, except for the 8 x 7 tom which is black chrome. The toms have duel 45 degree edges, cut by Precision Drums out of New York. The difference in sound is amazing! The rack toms have Evans G2 coated heads with plenty of life left. The floor toms have Remo Emperors( 16" is coated and 14" is clear) also with plenty of life left. All bottom heads are Ebony Ambassadors. The bass drum batter head is an Aquarian Super Kick II. The other one is probably the original Remo rototom rim. Th e head s need changing. Though they are not broken and still tune well. There are no ma jor dings or an y signs of abuse on them. But does have some rust and is in what I consider between decent and poor condition. Still completely serviceable. Also included are 6 10 10 remo roto toms.
