Windows XP(embeded) The DVR needed a new power supply unit, and after replacing the PSU the system board, memory, CPU, etc. all checked out fine. I do not have any cameras so I had no way to test the encoder board, but I have no reason to suspect it is faulty. The encoder board shows no sign of misuse. No scorch marks, etc. and looks very clean. There is some silicone(pic_2) to hold the connectors to the board(common practice on DVR's like this) I removed the silicone from the ports where I removed cables, but left it where cables are still attached. We're not sure. This test tape was in a lot of equipment we purchased quite a few years ago. We never had the camera to use it with and it's been stored away in a box ever since we purchased the lot. We've never run the tape. The reel has a piece of plastic broken away from the edge of one of the flanges but the tape appears to be in good condition. The flange could easily be replaced. This is a 1" tape on an 8" reel.
