Up for bid I have a Used Milwaukee Compact Magnetic Drill Press Model#4270-20. This drill has been used by myself in my garage shop. Has seen little use and is in very good to excellent condition. This is not some drill press that's been thrown around and abused in an manufacturing facility. As with any used tool this has minor nicks and scrapes from normal use but nothing to affect operation. Do not let the size of this unit fool you it is powerful with rated 9.0 amps and 1.1 hp. The toolless handle can be mounted on either side of the press. Unit has simple two button operation one for the 2300 Lbs. of deadlift magnet and one for the drill itself and all running on normal house current. What is nice about this is bring the press to your work piece not your work piece to the drill press. Unit takes 3/4" Weldon type cutters up to ... more1 1/2" dia. and will drill up to 2" thick metal, unit will also accept an optional 3 jaw chuck not included in auction that will drill up to 1/2" dia. 4 1/2" deep. I just ran out of degreaser. The"Drill Off" button in between the"REV" and"FWD" is missing. You can still press it in to stop drill. The speed knob is slightly broken. On the raising and lowering mechanism one of the"handles" or balls is missing. Has obvious scratches and scuffs with grease stains all throughout. Everything works and functions as should. Drill powers on and runs fine. The drill shows wear/ dirty from being used and has some damaged parts The heavy duty electromagnetic does power and works good. There a few things that need to be noted. one the wiring going to the top of the drill head is exposed and not being covered by its protective outer casing( see photos for details) The wires themselves are fine but wire connector going into the drill head is broken(see photos for details) One of the handles on the drill press that brings the drill head up and down has been welded( see photos for details) Someone has made there own handle for the carriage locking handle(see ... morephotos for details) The drill head mount just under the motor is cracked on both sides( see photos for details) The crack does not seem to be effecting performance but we can't be for sure. A few years back I had it completely rebuilt, a new Milwaukee 2 hp motor, all new wiring and switches, new bridge rectifier, magnet resealed and resurfaced and all bolts replaced with grade 5 or better.The rack and pinion is in like new cond. and slides are very smooth. I even had some changes made that I'd always wanted: safety chain and adjuster, resettable breaker on the motor circuit(so that you don't trip a breaker and lose the magnet if the drill jams) momentary switch for the magnet for positioning and an indicator light that magnet is powered up, epoxy paint job on the housing and heavy duty SJ cable and water tite fittings. Here is a Milwaukee 4201 Magnetic Drill Base with a Milwaukee 4253-1 1/2" Drill. They are both used but in good working condition. Since owning this piece of equipment I have taken good care of it. Cleaning/oiling it after every use. It is however used and doesn't come with a warranty but my reputation here on ebay should be assurance enough to tell you I stand behind the stuff I sell. The only problem with the drill is the REV button has come off and I cant find it. Reverse still works flawlessly just no button telling you REV. It is shown in picture 3. I will only ship to the continental USA. SORRY. It is quite heavy so shipping is not free. A straight $75.00 no matter where you live will be charged.
