It needs cleaning. And the filler sounds creaky. The dark blue Parker looks really nice. Including the filler, which feels pliable. The clip is bent outward and needs to be adjusted(I haven't tried) silvertone metal shows some discoloration/minor surface marks/spots, needs to be cleaned, eraser is hard and dirty. Vintage Wearever Pacemaker Fountain Pen Description: Wearever is a Pen that's been around since the early 1900's. The founder. David Kahn, emigrated from Europe in the 1800 and founded an engraving company that morphed into a pen manufacturer. The Wearever Pacemaker is known to be one of the best Fountain pens produced by Wearever in the 1940's and featured a solid gold 14K lifetime nib and gold plated trim on a plastic body. This pen has dark amber and silver striations with gold trim. It also features the wearever button for ink fill. This is a very nice pen that competed well with Shaeffer and Parker during that time period. Age: 1940's Coloring: almost a dark amber& silver body and white marbled striations. A really pretty pen Body Markings: very faintly marked"Wearever Pacemaker" Made in the USA Nib Markings: ... more14K Made in the USA Nib: M Condition: The pen has seen some wear. The body is in good condition but has scratches all over it seen under magnification. The Body Markings are faded and worn out where you can see the name but not much more. The gold trim is tarnished and green and the clip is rusted with some pocks seen in my pictures. There are no cracks on the pen. The nib is sharp and looks good for writing.
