Vintage Lot Vollrath Co USN Ladle Dipper & 3 Cup White Enamel Pot
This is a lot of two cooking items labelled Vollrath. The strong. Sturdy ladle has U.S.N engraved on the top of the handle and Vollrath on the underside. The handle is bent to better fit into the pot it was most used in. The bowl of the ladle is 4.25" in diameter. The handle is almost 8.5" in length. The small enamel pot has 3 chips on the inside and one on the bottom. As shown in the photos. It has a 3 cup scale marking on the inside and the words"VOLLRATH WARE FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY" on the inside. This pot is 3 1/2" tall and almost 6" across the pot. The black handle is a little over 5" in length. There's a little chipping at the base of the handle and scratching inside and on the bottom. These are old. Vintage USGI 1944 WWII VOLLRATH M1910 Canteen and Insulated Canvas Cover
I recently came across. And am currently in the process of going through, several boxes of military items I stowed away years ago and had simply forgotten about. These boxes contained numerous U. S. canteens, insulated canteen covers, mess kits and mess kit utensils from both WWI and WWII. I will be listing these items on eBay until all the pieces are sold. If you collect U.S. militaria please take a moment to look at all the items I currently have listed before they’re all sold and gone forever. For auction is this genuine. Vintage 1944, WWII, Vollrath Co. manufactured, USGI, M1910, 1 quart, canteen and USGI insulated canvas cover carry case. The canteen is made of steel and measures approximately 7 5/8” in height, 4.75” in width and 3” in depth. The canteen has its original black Bakelite plastic screw cap that remains securely shackled ... moreto the threaded neck of the canteen. The canteen’s cap is in excellent shape showing no signs of cracking or chipping. The overall condition of this canteen is near excellent as the steel surface shows only very small and minor wear dents. The canteen has a horizontal welded seam that remains solid and water tight. The steel surface of the canteen has a smooth semi-shiny patina and looks fabulous for being 70 years old. Although I believe this canteen can be utilized as it was originally designed for, I would recommend thoroughly cleaning the canteen if you intend to drink water from it as I am certain it hasn’t been washed in well over 50 years. The canteen’s insulated OD green canvas cover bears the letters“U.S. stamped in black and can still be easily seen. The two push-to-snap buttons close and open properly as they were designed and remain securely attached to the cover. The stitching on the carry case remains very strong and tight. The aforementioned notwithstanding. There are several areas on the cover that appear to have sustained"old" moth damage. Those areas are as follows. On the front of the cover. DESCRIPTION: This listing is for three Vollrath stainless steel canisters. In very good used condition. Mostly they just need to be cleaned. They were previously used as canisters. While I did clean out the contents. I wasn't sure how to get the stainless exterior looking shiny again. They have some minor scuffs and dings from typical use, but no significant damage anywhere. No dents or deep scratches. Two of the cans are numbered 8801. They measure 5 1/2" tall and 4" wide. The larger can is numbered 8803. It measures 7" tall and 6" across. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: Payment is due within five days of auction end. All items are very well packed for shipping. I can combine similar sized items to save on costs. Bowl is made of quality US heavy gauge stainless steel. Bowl measures 6 3/8 inches across the top and stands 3 3/4 inches tall.
