I have here one of the best looking tea strainers with stand I have ever sold. This beauty is marked 800 for the silver contents and two hallmarks I am sure are Germany maker marks. I do not know the mfg. of this piece. The two piece have openwork design with flowers I think are roses with leaves. The bottom of the stand has roses also. The top measure 5" long including the handle. It measures 3" across the sides. The stand is 1 1/2" high. Both piece have the same silver markings. The condition is very good with no damage. Oriental Tea Cup w/Strainer and Lid This is a very nice Oriental-style tea cup for use with loose tea leaves. The strainer holds the tea and allows it to steep while holding the leaves. The lid keeps the water hot. This cup holds 12 ounces of liquid. 5 and 1/2 inches tall with the lid on. About 3 inches across. The appliqued decoration is of two red-headed white cranes in a landscape with trees and setting sun. Oriental lettering on the other side of the cup. Made from bright white ceramic and is very sturdy. This was pre-owned but never used. So it is very clean with no staining. There is a slight indentation on the underside of the lid, but this is glazed over, so it happened in the kiln. A lovely gift for the tea lover in your life! Thanks for looking!

Antique silver tea strainer. Markings on the back read: EP R(in script) NS. The EP NS stands for electroplated nickel silver. Measures 4.75" The term"EPNS" stands for electroplated nickel silver. This is a process by which a very thin layer of silver is applied to a nickel base electrochemically. Still employed in modern times.
