Made out of heavy duty 1/4" cast aluminum and 3" deep insert to convert this pot into a double boiler. There are sturdy bronze handles on both sides and the lid. The handles are firmly attached by rivets. The lid fits well. As you can see in the pictures. It is designed to seat within the pan, rather than on the upper rim. The point where the lid rest is approximately 1" deep to the rim. As with any vintage piece. There are light scratches and a minor nick or two-nothing major. The interior is tin lined. The lining is completely intact. The interior has a few scratches and dark mark marks. This commercial calphalon 8 quart stock pot with lid is hard anodized inside and outside. There are no dents and it sits flat. The pot handles are solidly riveted on and are made of solid aluminum. Outside there are some light scuffs and scratches. Overall the anodizing in in very good used condition. Inside there are a few utensil marks on the very bottom with some very little staining. It measures 9⅜" in diameter across the top andi is 8⅛" high without the lid. The original name of Calphalon was Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company. It was started in 1963 and sold mostly to commercial kitchens. The company changed its name to Calphalon in 1997 and began selling primarily to the retail market. Mauviel 30 LB French Copper 3 Piece Set Fish Poacher Stock Pot Bain Marie France
Really nice 3 piece set of hammered Mauviel copper pieces here. A fish poacher with grid, a bain marie, and a stock pot with lid. All are lined in hand wiped tin. The fish poacher is from the 1970's and has no markings. I have other pieces from this era that are also this way; Mauviel just did not mark their products as much as they do these days. Also a lot of Mauviel items were and still are sold by other"brand name" stores both in the US and abroad, so the stream of commerce, from manufacture to retail purchase often determines what pans will be marked if at all. The fish poacher is referred to as a 60cm because metric is used in France but it measures 24" long by 5 1/8" high by 7" wide. It is 26 1/2" from handle to handle. The lining is in good shape with no copper showing through; the interior does show ... moresome age which reflects that of the pan itself however the tin is intact as I said so this pan is completely useable. The poacher is very well made and weighs 14.6 pounds. The bain marie is a nice piece. It has actually never been used. It has a capacity of 0.9 quarts, two 5" bronze handles secured by copper rivets, and the diameter of the porcelain insert is 5 1/2" The complete pot with lid weighs 4 pounds. The stock pot. From the 1970's, is an unusual piece for two reasons, first this is taller than most of the stock pots Mauviel puts out and second because it is unusually thick, measuring 2.8mm. The pot is marked(although it is almost impossible to see) Lamalle NY, which was a high end retailer and purveyor of French copper in NYC. They imported Mauviel and had their store name stamped on the copper just as Williams-Sonoma does now. The planishing on this pot is beautiful and the way it refracts light is amazing. It measures 10 3/4" high(w/o lid) by 8 3/4" in diameter. The tin is very good in this pot. Capacity is about 11 quarts. The walls are a healthy 2.8mm and the pot with lid weighs 11 pounds 2 ounces. There are various nicks and scratches all over from use, but the aluminum on the outside is still nice and shiny. There are some pits and marks on the inside bottom as well. The plastic handle on the top is cracked but in good usable condition and the top itself is a bit concave and slightly misshapen where it appears to have been dropped, resulting in the top not sitting perfectly on the pot itself. 3 pcs Vintage Polish Enamel Cookware stock pot, paella & fry pan 60s 70s - nice!
This set includes a very large orange paella pan. A large orange frying pan or skillet and a large red stockpot. The paella pan is 13" diameter(not including stainless steel handles) x 2.5" deep. The frying pan is 10-1/8" diameter. Handle extends another 6" Stockpot measures 8-5/8" diameter and 6.5" high. They are all in excellent vintage condition. The paella pan is in excellent conditions with some relatively minor scratches in the white enamel from use. The frying pan seems to have barely any use. There are a few black specks on the inside which I believe are due to manufacture. There is a ding in the enamel at the tip of the handle as pictured. Very few if any scratches to the interior or exterior. Paella and frying pans are not marked but came with the stockpot and seem to be of very similar manufacture. ... moreThe stockpot has a few scratches to the interior and one slightly darkened spot. Also a few of the black specks. No dings to the enamel except for a couple shallow manufacturing flaws on the side of the pot(see last picture) There are some use scratches on this pot and more wear on the bottom than the frying pan but it is still in excellent condition in my opinion. Here I have a nice 4 1/2 quart Stock Pot by Revere Ware. We measure 9 1/4" across the top and 4 1/4" deep without the lid. Plus a 9" fry pan skillet which can use the stock pot lid. We 9 1/4" wide and 2" deep without the lid. Both are in very good used condition our handles are tight& shiney and we sit flat. The stock pot has a couple small dents on the bottom(see pic#4) not real serious and should not effect the use of this pan.
