Antique Early Curtain Drapery Stretcher Working Bolts Wingnuts Hinges Measuring
Antique Vintage Working Curtain Drapery Stretcher Frame Wooden slatted pieces that I was told is a curtain or drapery stretcher. I attempted to put this together. And this is what I came up with. After looking at other photos, I might be off a little. The wooden frame measures 58" high. With the legs completely apart it is 30" wide, and 94" long. It comes apart to be shipped. It does include old hardware(bolts and wing nuts) but one has been replaced. It can still be used as a frame even though it is very old. It has measurements on it but a lot of it is worn away. It has the nails intact. Hinges are intact and work. For some reason it has sand on it. So it will need sprayed off. Please keep in mind. I do not have a lot of knowledge in the subject, so I am going to start this off really low. If I am wrong, My loss your gain.

These are two old time screens. One is 200 mesh, and the other one is 80 mesh. These were used by coal companies and inspectors to measure how much rock dust was in the inside of a mine, to make it incombustible. There is no date on these two, but they are both made by The W.S. Tyler Company in Cleveland, Ohio. They are 8 3/8" in diameter, and 2 3/4" tall. The screens are also made of brass, so they can't make a spark.
