Brass Conveyor Belt Lacer, Clipper Belt Lacer Co., 1905
Here's great shelf art. Or a neat old paper weight. This is a Clipper Belt Lacer Co. conveyor belt lacing piece, used inside a large clamping fixture. This was no doubt standard factory equipment back in the day. I have left most of the patina intact, but did a light polish on the brass portion. Attached plaque indicates item was patented in 1905, 1911, and 1913, so this one was obviously manufactured shortly after 1913.
