And that screen flashes on for maybe 5 seconds and then goes off for a couple, repeating that cycle endlessly. It is NOT responsive to the controls. There is a floppy disk in the drive. Just a disk, not a Stanford Research disk. So if it is supposed to boot up from the disk maybe it’s just the disk. But I don’t hear the drive ever make the familiar boot up noise. So if I(as a totally unqualified observer) had to speculate I would say it is more of an issue than just needing a new boot disk. Maybe just a new drive? So anyway. Maybe an easy fix, maybe the thing needs to be totally refurbished. It is sold for PARTS/REPAIR/REFURBISHING only. It is untested other than as described and NO warranty is offered. However.
