For sale is a pair of vintage antique"Thomas Truck and Caster Company Keokuk Iowa" The caster is 8" and the width of the wheel with the rubber on is 10" These wheels can be used either way. The rubber will slide right off leaving you a great 8" all cast iron wheel or left as is giving you a great 10" wheel. The bearings where broken so I discarded them. To save you on the shipping I’ll ship these in a large flat rate box with a ¼” lauwn“plywood” bottom and sides for extra support. These have grease fittings on both the bases and the wheels as can be seen in the pictures, although I did not try to put any grease in them and one of the base fittings is missing. All of the wheels have some degree of rust and pitting with one wheel having a significant ... moreamount to one section and loss of metal as seen in the picture. I took extra pictures of this one so you’d have some idea of its condition. Also one other wheel has a dimple in it about the size of a dime. The wheels are easily changed out by removing one bolt and nut if you ever needed to. All 4 wheels turn freely and swivel smoothly. The wheels are about 4” in diameter and the base is 5 ¼” x 3 7/8” and the center to center of the attachment holes are 3 5/8” x 2 5/8” The number 477 is on the base. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. We have for sale 4 Vintage Machine Age Industrial Cast Iron 3 Wheel Swivel Casters w/Bearings. They are 8 inches in diameter from wheel to wheel. The centers are 2-1/4 inches in diameter. The pocket sits down in about 1-1/4 inches. The caster wheels work fine. They have a nice machine age look to them. They are all original. They do have some rust on them. Some oil rubbed on them would make them look really good. They are not stamped. They have round edge wheels on them. I am not an expert on anything.please ask questions. Incredibly unique Antique or vintage or machine age or industrial revolution cast iron heavy duty double wheel industrial swivel casters patent date of MAY 1 1877 Mounting plate also is designed to pivot with slotted hole and plate bears on a rotating disc to distribute/ carry load Mounting plates are all clearly marked with"PAT MAY 1 1877" Each Mounting plate assembly consists of 4 pieces Only other marking is a"5" on the carrier body for the wheels cast into the piece Mounting plate is 2 inches in diameter and nearly 1/4 inch thick with two mounting holes. And one central hole for locating pin Patent date appears to be cast in and not later stamped. But is very crisp Natural patina. 4 Antique Vintage Large Cast Iron Industrial Casters Cart Wheels Salvage Parts
This is a nice set of 4 antique heavy duty cast iron caster wheels. They are in good condition. They swivel and roll smooth. The wheel itself is approx. 3 inches by 1 1/4 inches. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. The mounting piece measures approx. 4 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches. It is marked on mounting plate 1050 3 A 3. Each caster wheel weighs approx. 3 3/4 pounds. They are marked Bond 1018 on the wheel. The swivel part has ball bearings. The wheel has a hole in it for oiling. We have cleaned most of the grease and grime from these. But they still need some rust cleaned off. This is a very nice heavy duty set of wheel casters. Guaranteed to be old and original. Satisfaction guaranteed. Shipping is $1 1.30. One type has a wheel that is about 1.75" W and 2.75" in diameter with no groove. The other type has a wheel that is 1.75" W x 3 1/8" in diameter with a 5/16" wide groove that is 1/4" deep. Both types are attached to a base that measures 3" W x 3.5" L x 2.75" T. There are three countersunk 1/4" wide holes. I have for auction a great barely used set of 4 cast iron swivel industrial casters. The wheels are cast iron as well. Each wheel is 2 1/2' in diameter. The mounting plate is 2 1/2' wide and 3 5/8' long. They stand 3 3/4' tall. These are very heavy duty casters and will be a nice addition to the shop or the industrial loft. vintage 1 caster wheel and 1 fixed wheel. six inch base and around six inches tall, the caster has a hair line crack but its still solid and if there is not much weight put on it i think it would be fine, wheel turns o k and caster moves o k, the fixed one looks fine but the wheel is stuck but with some w-d 40 it would be o k, i just don't want to make it all oily looking so i will leave that for the new owner if they want to do that, the wheels are 2 1/4 wide. shipping will be priority med flat rate because they weigh 15lbs so that is the cheapest way to ship 12.35. item will be shipped from rapid city s d, i am up here working for the summer. please ask if not sure i will try to help, selling as is because of their age,

These wheels could be used for vaults. Safes, or other industrial types of carts. The treads are hard white plastic. Scuff free and designed for a smooth ride. The wheel mounting holes are approx. to the 1/16" 3/8" round and 3 3/4" on center on one side, and 2 1/4" on center on the other side. They were made by The G.P. Clark Co. Windsor Locks, Conn. U.S.A. and appear to be unused. They weigh 3 pounds each and have 3 separate markings on them. The first marking is stamped on the wheel wall along with G.P. Clark Co. It is the number 3-12. The second marking is stamped at the base of the wheel caster, it is the number 0212. The final marking ... morein stamped underneath the 4 hole brace which attaches the wheel to it's supporting item, it is the number C300. These wheels showcase excellent craftsmanship and quality. Vintage Set 4 Heavy Duty Industrial Bassick 6" Cast Iron Casters Swivel Plate
Here is a great set of industrial. Very heavy duty application, cast iron casters. The wheels themselves are cast iron, 6" in diameter, and 2" wide. They are each mounted on a swivel plate, the plate measures 5 1/2" x 5" Each caster stands about 7 1/2" in height. I can see Bassick 6 on each caster, and it also looks like the number 8261 is imprinted on the wheels. These casters are definitely for a heavy duty application. Each caster weighs 11 lbs. As can be seen in the pictures, there are scratches in the gold finish on each caster, all in the same places, but this, in no ways, impacts the function of these casters. There is also a bit of rust in some areas, but once again there is no impact on performance. All of the casters move freely on the attached swivel plates. Vintage Industrial Factory Cast Iron Swivel Casters Bassick #477 Huge 3-1/2"
Four cast iron industrial Bassick casters acquired at an industrial salvage auction. The Bassick Caster Company manufactured casters in Bridgeport. CT and is no longer in existence. These casters are huge and from what I have learned, I believe they probably came from an industrial factory cart. The iron wheels measure 3-1/2" in diameter and each caster weighs well over 6 pounds. They all roll and swivel as they should. Each has a grease fitting and the ball bearings can be seen under the edge of their enclosures. They are marked in more than one place with the manufacturer's name; and the part#477 is prominently stamped on one end of the bases. There are other numbers in various places which are likely part numbers for other components. There is heavy patina/rust and minor visible wear to the wheels. They are also extremely dirty. ... moreI haven't done anything to them as I didn't know where to begin and didn't want to disturb the patina if that was going to be the desired finished product.
