Offered is an antique 4/4 violin. Amati modeling. One piece back. Not labeled. There is penciled on the inside back'Repaired by A.W. Turner Birmingham. Ala. No date. Probably English c1790. I think it's English based on the scroll, edge work, and painted'purfling' typical of British violins from this period. Although it is not the finest of workmanship the tone is exceptional, in my opinion. Original finish. Nice patina. Typical wear for a 220 year old violin that adds a lot of character. There is one mid-matched peg. Antique. Used. Four well repaired top cracks. All repaired and stable. No back cracks. No rib cracks. No peg box cracks. Never a bass bar or sound post crack. There is some separation of the rib seam at the end pin. It is closed. Stable and requires no repair at this time. The sound post is set. I think it could ... morebe played as is. I've drawn a bow over the strings. And played a few notes in1st position successfully. Please understand that I am not a trained violinist. Nevertheless, I know'tone' The sustain when open strings were plucked at pitch is as follows: G string decay in 6 seconds. D string decay in 5.5 seconds. A string decay in 4.5 seconds. E string decay in 4 seconds. In my opinion the open note plucked sustain is good. The resonance and tone are very good. Used strings are fitted. This Antique lot is possibly 19th Century. It is by Meissen. This is a set of 4 pieces; 2 cups and 2 saucers in Excellent condition! There is just a tad of wear to the gold on one set. Everything else is perfect! All are marked. These have the Gold leaves on the top of handles. I like the shape of the 6" saucers. I listed 4 other pairs and added these. They were from the same group(but, I think they may be from 2 different sets originally) Some have orange and some have black ink marks. These saucers both have a 207 and one cup. There are 4 very nice pieces of Capodimonte. They are all signed and numbered. They have very vibrant colors. There are naked cherubs. One with swans.The one covered dish is signed CAPE B 30- 1 ITALY. This piece does have some age wear, the gold color has faded some and on the rim of the dish you can see the green has worn also. I can not see any chips or cracks on this piece. The trinket box is beautiful, it also shows signs of age. This piece does have some chips on the corners of the lid. I tried to show this in the pictures. The gold color is a bit faded to. It is signed Capodimonte ITALY B 302. The 2 small dishes are signed Capodimonte ITALY B 303,they also have some age wear,I think more then the other pieces. There is a chip in one dish that I show in the pictures. Although they have aged they really do still look beautiful. You may ... morebe able to do some repair on the chips and some touch up on the color.

Beautiful Antique Guarnerius 4/4 Violin, One Piece Back, Loud, Sweet, Ready
For your consideration I offer the full size antique German Guarnerius violin. The curly maple one piece back measures 359 mm by 204 mm. It was made in the early 1900's. Very likely in the area of Mittenwald. The label reads: Copy of Josef Guarnerius made in Germany It is in excellent playing condition. With a new setup, ready for immediate play. The first thing you will notice when playing is the enormus amount of power the violin has. And the sweet, dark tone. Considering the high arching, the trebles are amazingly bright. The lower strings have a sweet and powerful voice. The balance is great in all registers, from string to string. I've very rarely played a violin with so much power to spare. This one would be perfect for the agressive player who likes to push to the limits, because this one doesn't seem to have any. The responce ... moreis instant with the slightest touch of the bow, no hesitation, no raspiness, not schrill or unpleasant in any way, just pure tonal power. For the solo player and those who like to stand out in a crowd, this is a great one. As you can see in the picture above. The fingerboard has a white streak in it. This was uncovered when it was dressed to a proper scoop. It is ebony, though. The violin has a great setup, including a newly fitted and tonally adjusted bridge, a new soundpost properly fitted and positioned for optimum tonal responce, the string height adjusted at the nut for ease of play, new ebony pegs fitted that work as they should, a new set of Pirastro Tonica perlon strings installed(with the exception of the A string, used but not old) and a new chinrest. The violin is very easy and fun to play. Please excuse the dust on the violin. It was a breezy day here. And I like to take picteres in natural indirect light to best capture the colors. There are 3 repairs to note. A crack from the bottom eye of the left f-hole to the bottom, and a repaired wing crack on each side. The repairs are solid and cleated on the inside. Interesting (experimental?) Majolica piece art nouveau 8" x 4.5"
I believe this to be Majolica because of the type of glaze and the stamp on the back. But haven't found any information. Have assumed it to be an experimental piece. No chips or cracks except for those shown in the photo which I believe to be original to the piece and appear to have happened when the clay was cut? We have here today up for auction a 4 piece vintage 1960's Slingerland Green Satin Flame Wrap in nice and clean condition! The badges are the black and brass Niles oval shape which date these drum between 1963-1969. Included in this kit is the 22" Bass with Double Telescopic Spurs and serial number 240129. 14" Artist Snare Drum with serial number228858, 13" Side Mount Tom serial number 240159, 16" Floor Tom with serial number 240159. The drum shells have the milk choclate stain or finish. The Green Satin Flame wrap is in good overall condition, but as shown in pictures, they have a little webbing in areas of the wrap and the snare has a light dark area, nothing serious though! Beautiful custom made 8 weight 4 piece 9' graphite fly rod. This fine rod was fished once on a steelhead weekend in Northeastern Ohio. It looks new. I can't find any scratches nor marks on the rod. It was crafted on a Sevier Mfg. root beer colored blank that displays(spiral) tiger eye figuring when shown in sunlight. The wraps are dark chocolate brown with medium blue. Metallic accents. The guides,double locking reel seat, and hook keeper are Pacific Bay. The reel seat is aluminum with a titanium finish. The cork grip is full wells. This medium fast fly rod sports a detachable fighting butt and end cap. All of these components are salt water ready. The inscriptions are in silver ink and read: 9'0" 8 WT. 4 Piece Antique Brass Fireplace Tool Set: Stand w/Winged Griffins & Lions' Feet
This is a very old cast brass Victorian fireplace tool set. It includes a poker. Which has a cast iron tip, a shaft that appears to be steel, and the ornate brass handle; a brush which has natural hair bristles; a brass shovel that was painted black; an elegantly shaped set of tongs with cast iron tips, steel shafts, cast brass handles; and the heavy ornate cast brass stand on which the tools sit. It is highly decorated with 2 winged griffins, along with flowers, etc. It has 4 lions' feet. The fireplace set is 31" tall to the top of the cast brass handle on the top of the stand. The base of the stand is 12" by 9 1/2" It is in excellent condition. But of course has lots of patina, which varies from one area to another. In the close-up photos of the base plate, you can see that some areas have a grayish-green coating over ... morethe brass. I cleaned this area lightly with brass polish, but did not want to take away the original patina, so I didn't try to remove this greenish coating. The brush looks as though it has lost some of its bristles over the years, but is still usable. In my 8th photo, you can see that one of the brackets near the top of the rack is higher than the one on the other side, but it doesn't appear to have been damaged or bent- may have just been made that way. Ludwig Snare 1920s Two Piece Heavy Brass Shell 15" x 4" Black Beauty Type Shell
Ludwig Snare 1920s Two Piece Heavy Brass Shell 15" x 4" Black Beauty Type Shell 8 Lugs This drum has 15" Slingerland style rims. I have the original hoops and will include them. I don't think you'll want to use them. The drum plays. Sounds, and tunes better with regular style rims. Also, I have a new set of PureSound snare wires on this drum.the correct size, that is, 15" It originally had shorter 14" replacement wires on it. When I replaced them it made a big difference. The batter side has a FyberSkin 3 head and the resonant side has an Aquarian clear. The heads are in excellent condition. This drum has been updated to sound great, so you could use it on a gig right away! I tried to set it up to be useful as opposed to a museum piece or collectible. It's ready to go! There are no extra holes. Except ... morefor the heads, rims, wires, it's in original condition. The original strainer is in good working order. This Ludwig snare is a heavy two-piece nickel over brass circa 1920s. It's the same shell that Ludwig used for the highly coveted Black Beauty. You can see the Ludwig logo engraved on the shell near the strainer. The nickel is wearing off after all these years and you can see the copper/brass coming through in spots. It's not too noticeable unless you use the flash on the camera(see the last photo) The drum is in round and heads come on and off easily. There are no noticeable dings or dents. The shell is actually in very good condition considering its age. As I mentioned, the nickel plating is wearing off in spots and there is also a fair amount of tarnish in spots but it still looks great from a few feet away or on the bandstand. The 15" playing surface is obviously great for brush work. This drum is surprisingly fat sounding too, considering it's only 4" deep. You could also tune it up for a crisper sound without it choking. All in all, this is a great drum in excellent structural condition and in decent cosmetic condition to boot, and it's ready
