Beautiful samples if you like very ugly rocks from space.In a rather rare classification. It was collected in Morocco in 2006. Classification is a provisional Breccia L/LL 4/5. S2, W3/4. NWA 5142 is a group of meteorites that were pulled out of a several hundred Kg. shipment of unclassified NWA meteorites. They looked very weathered with a white and red color. Very distinctive to the other meteorites in the pile. When cut the interior is a rich black. Unlike other weathered meteorites. This material is very VERY hard and stable. I found I could clean the exterior with acid and not harm the meteorite. Please see my other NWA 5142 listings. 140 gr. NWA 5142 meteorite. Very cool looking! It is uncut. It's largest measurement is approximately 60 mm. It is a beautiful sample. A very nice display sample(beautiful shape to display) in a rather rare classification. The first photo shows a side that exhibits some old crust. Well. Not exactly crust, more like the shadow of crust. This stuff is so hard that even after weathering and cleaning the crustal texture still remains. The last photo shows a nice circular breccia chunk just about in the middle. It was collected in Morocco in 2006. Classification is a provisional Breccia L/LL 4/5. S2, W3/4. Takeda Riken TR-5142 10Hz to 80MHz Frequency Counter for Parts or Repair This worked when purchased on eBay several years ago but now the counting circuit appears to no longer function properly. The display seems to be operating normally but when tested against a working counter. The number is way off. I have been unable to locate a manual so am offering it at a low starting price for parts or repair in the hopes someone can make use of it. Please note it appears to be a unit for the Japanese market as it is indicating 100 V(Japanese standard) as the line voltage. It would probably be safest to use a Variac set for 100 V as 120 V is usually too great a spread unless it was designed for that. Good luck bidding!

On the back the unit is marked Syroco and dated MCMLXV(1965) Measures about 20" across x 16.25" high and projects about 7.5" from the wall. Pocket by itself measures about 15" across x 6.25" high and x 6.5" This item is in very good condition, there are no cracks or other damage and there have been no repairs. The brass cladding on the pocket has an embossed floral or grape vine design. The wood toned plaque that the pocket hangs on is made of a durable plastic material and has a scroll design border.
