This is a great vintage sign for the American National Fire Insurance Company. New York. Measurements for frontal image are 17 9/16" long and 11 5/8" high. Frame measurements. Taken from reverse side, are 19 1/8" long and 13 3/16" tall. The frame is complete and is in very nice shape. It is painted with gold paint and black paint in all recessed areas. There are no markings to indicate manufacturer or age. I have had this item for several years. I believe the piece has some age. I do not know if the insurance company is still in business. Vintage USDA crop insurance sign, RARE, Shield shape
I dug this out of grandmas barn. Who knows how long it had been there. It is a double sided sign and I took pictures of both sides, I cannot tell if it is porcelain or not. It weights 4 or 5 pounds It is in good shape for how old it is. I cannot find another like it anywhere super rare. It is 24" X 24" at its widest spot and shaped like a route 66 sign. Nice early pressed wood trade sign advertising" The Monarch Insurance Company of Ohio" Sign is in very good condition with a very aged look to it. There is a very slight warp to it that almost looks like it was made that way and it does not effect the way it hangs. I have left it dry and dusty the way i found it but a cleaning would bring out the gold and green paint color to the lettering and lion as well as a dark rich wood tone. Rare antique framed brass sign for Vulcan Fire Insurance Company of Oakland, CA
This is an antique sign for the Vulcan Fire Insurance Company of Oakland. California. The sign(with frame) is 18 x 24 inches. The sign appears to brass and is in its original wood frame with the label of the sign manufacturer(see photo) The background is black with raised lettering. There is some slight discoloration on the left hand side of the sign near the edge of the frame, but overall this sign is in excellent condition for its age. See photos. For collectors. This sign appears to be rare. I have never seen another Vulcan Fire Insurance Co. sign and it is not listed in the reference book"Signs of Insurance" by Tufts and Leopold-Sharp. Green Tree Fire Mark: Authentic Antique Mutual Assurance (Insurance) Marker Sign
This is an authentic antique fire mark from the Mutual Assurance Company of Philadelphia. In the company's traditional green metal tree against a white wooden background. On the reverse, the numbers 1937 and what appears to be 7726 are stamped in the wood. The sign is worn from having hung on a home in Philadelphia's Society Hill neighborhood for many years, but it is still structurally sound. It could either be displayed indoors in its present condition, or refurbished for exterior use. Overall dimensions are approximately 15-1/2" long and 12" wide.
