This is a spectacular one of a kind sign Made by Moosehead Furniture for Moosehead Furniture This came out of the Monson. ME plant It is made of hardwood strips. The same way they made tabletops. 3/4" thick and very heavy. It is 31.5" wide and 26" tall I have not cleaned it or applied anything to it. The color is much nicer than the photos show. A few of the glue joints have slight separations. Which could be easily fixed with glue and a few clamps. I just don't mess with antiques. I leave that up to the buyer. I have no idea what"YELIM" is or was. As the sign is very old.

This was found in a auction with alot of vintage items. It was stored in the attic. It is made of paper over cardboard. It has medal eyes were it was hung by string. Some of the period correct string is still attached.Some areas of the paper and tape have pulled away from the cardboard and there is some paper damage in one corner as pictured. I’m still listing some new items from the closed down antique store sale, and then we took two days off and shopped Ohio(with stops at my two Indiana Amish pickers’ barns) at the World’s Longest Yard Sale(Route 127) and then came home and made a quick trip to the flea market. I am so not kidding when I say there’s something for everyone! Enjoy! I thought this one was too deco era cool to pass up. I'm told it was thought to be a boiler emblem. And that makes sense as the advertising is the Iron Fireman coal stoking robot, along with"Custom Mark II, at the bottom. It is a silver metal emblem that a magnet does not stick to. Measuring 7 1/4" wide at the bottom, it is 3 5/8" tall, 1/4 lb and has ... moreone of its original mounting pegs at the back. It looks like there were two other pegs, one on each side at the bottom, but they are broken off, and it's pretty smooth where they used to be- nothing protruding. It's in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition. It needs a good cleaning- it's dirty and I don't mess with as-found patina in any way. It shows some pitting on the silver metal- I can't tell if that's to the metal or the finish( but it's minor, and more seen on the backside. What a cool piece of old advertising!
