OUTDOOR SIGN LETTERS,ALUMINUM, BUSINESS, LOGO, 14" TALL, from a BANK! !
I have up for auction. Fifteen commercial building letters, that came off a bank. There is a town about 90 miles north of me called Presque Isle. They probably came from there at some time ago. These are the big ones. They are 14 inches tall, and 1 1/8 inch thick. They are made of die cast aluminum. They heve been plated with some kind of brass looking coating. They were attached by 3/16 screws Most of them were gone when I got these, but I got out the last screws so they would be easier to pack. The bad news is, that there are a fair amount of broke off screws in the letters. To utilize all the mounting holes, you would have to get the broken screws out, maybe by drilling and retapping the threads. Whomever removed these off the bank werent very careful about it! There are 15 letters all together, maybe you can use some of these for your ... moreown personal ideas. I know you are not going to open a Presque Isle bank! Questions are always welcome. This vinyl banner was made in 2007 by Fast Signs. Length is 87" 7'3" Width is 23.5" It reads RETIREMENT SALE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. The background color is white and the lettering is flag blue. In shopping around for banners. I found that vinyl banners provide messaging that lasts season after season. They really stand up to the elements, and this one certainly helped draw attention to my business. The banner has six grommets- three on the top of the banner and three along the bottom. The grommets attach the banner at regular points distributing their weight evenly and prevent sagging. Included are nine suction cups while only six are required to hang the banner from the grommets. Vintage Tailor Sign Wonderful old tailor sign.two screws on back to mount on door or in the vicinity of a shop where tailor work was done. It is 11 1/4" long. About 8 1/2" high, and 1 3/4" deep. Not sure what kind of metal this is- does not attract a magnet- a little heavy for what it is(2 lb, 14 oz) and it has a golden sheen.I think it is brass. The man is seated with a large pair of scissors next to him and a length of cloth on his lap. I discovered two very tiny holes, one in each hand, and surmised that it originally might have had sewing thread or some such in the holes- I put in thin wire to imitate sewing thread, of course you can take that out. By the way, I am assuming this is a tailor. If it isn't, I don't know what he is.but I ... morethink that's a pretty good guess. Condition is good for the age.tarnish or oxidation from being outdoors so long. Normal wear for the age.
