Up for auction are these three shiny metal storage containers for office supplies. Cosmetic supplies, craft supplies, or whatever you want to store in pretty CONTAINERS. The largest container measures about 5" tall, the middle container is about 4" and the smallest container is almost 4" tall, but is smaller in diameter. Vintage Industrial Veterinarian Office Used Metal Wall Mount File Holder Storage We took a trip to some unfamiliar shops this weekend and came home with some fabulous items– lots of antiques and uniques for you! I’ll be listing all week. So be sure to check back! Here's a nifty one. It's an old wall mounted file holder that was used in a veterinarian's office. This is a quiality industrial storage piece- you won't believe how heavy it is when you hold it- and it weighs just over 8 1/4 lbs. It has the look of lightly brushed steel. And that's what I thought for sure it was until I took my magnet to it and it doesn't stick. So, your guess is as good as mine- it could be aluminum; I'm just not used to aluminum items being so heavy. It measures 23 1/8" tall at the back center top to bottom, 9" wide and 1 ... more1/8" deep. There's 15 slots/pockets/whateveryoucallthem into which the files were inserted for storage. They are all 9 5/8" wide and in sticking a piece of paper in each on, I saw that the slots have a bottom, making their depth about 4 1/2" each. Just as a frame of reference, a piece of regular sized computer paper(8 1/2" wide) fit inside the slots perfectly. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally- totally sound and useable. There's a handful of teenie dings by the slots, and you can see the light hills and valleys of the metal at the back(which appears to be original) There's scratching to the metal that is light and not unexpected with this age and wear, and more on the backside than the front. In photos 10 and 14, you can see that there's old dried(what looks like) masking type of tape stuck to either side of the piece. At first, I thought it was paint, but at closer look, I so no, it's not- and you can scrape it off. It's pretty dried and stuck, so I would use goo gone or something like that if you want it gone.
